No defence of labour at all but ipswich town centre has been in serious decline and is just like you describe long before they were in charge. Sad really nothing like it used to be.

If there was surety earlier in the winter he’d have been here this season, I think he’ll be back next year, maybe even sooner 👀

Where’s the pics of dans back wheel? -
12 points makes the bonus point interesting, but would be more interesting if the tac sub hadn’t interfered! Especially if at some point you’re 6 behind at Foxhall and get a second one! Takes the biscuit 2 extra rides for either Brady or Dan over the aggregate!

Wish they’d scrap the tactical sub rule, or at least make it only available for a shorter window for an away side to even up the home track advantage. tac sub or no tac sub belle vue would’ve made that home advantage come true I’m sure over the course of the meeting but the tac sub undoes so much of the hard work from unfancied underdog witches last night and impacts the chances of the bonus point over two legs massively

Did you watch it? I stood on the second bend with my dad and uncle and enjoyed it. If they’d have heavily watered the track and one of the isolated heavy showers I drove through en route half an hour before the meeting started had landed putting the meeting off with already 1000+ in the stadium that would’ve been a far bigger disaster on opening night than a bit of dust -
Yes Ben, sorry didn’t think about there being more t than one 🤪

Tac sub 5-1 meant the scoreline flattered lynn imo, long long tail. Decent first home performance throughout the team, Scotty will fair better when the track is grippier and he can work the bike and find different lines. Understand the comments on the track getting slick and dusty quite quickly tonight but I don’t think there’s much more they can do with such a strong drying wind as this evening, it was well watered before the meeting and watered at each grading break, while dry and dusty towards the end it was consistent and smooth which is good to see. -

On his first visit to Foxhall I was impressed with gusts on track, don’t remember what he scored but got better every time he came out and had a real go, didn’t push on like I thought he would but morale looked pretty low in the Oxford pits last year, tough environment for a foreign youngster to come into and the pressure be straight on you -

I think both Sheffield and Leicester have sides that can be dangerous around Foxhall but if they ride to their ability should be able to beat everyone at home and the long tails of belle vue and lynn will be their undoing on the road and as you say Foxhall a particularly tough away track. Hard to say with Northampton but they look the weakest and shouldn’t be troubling us at foxhall -

He’s certainly capable of a significant average jump if he can find some consistency

Obviously injuries have really hampered his progress so far, but has he actually demonstrated anything to show he’s got it in him to take a step forward on the clear early potential he showed as a rookie? Big season for his whole career path this one imo -

A meeting thread at last! The longest winter of all time drawing to a close 😃 can see this being a very small home win or even an away win tbh Chris holder looked dynamite in the Peter craven meeting, and killer looked the opposite jack and picko will likely score less than Brady and Dan but beat everyone else and not be far off, I think etheridge will have the better of Tate at the bottom end too. Zach and blodorn vs flint and rowe could go either way all 4 capable of decent haul on their night -
Tough at “the top” and they couldn’t hack it 😅🙈😂🤪

The season Emil came over he certainly brought that, it was noted by promoters that everyone had their biggest crowds that season on his visits, people turned up to see him for sure. I think that probably subsided a bit over year 2 & 3 though, hard to say really how to make that draw more sustainable with the quantity of teams and top riders we now have riding here. “back in the good old days” when you had a much bigger league and only rode home and away once against everyone and some ko cup matches people would want to be there for the one chance too see say Jason crump visit Foxhall with belle vue, I love watching bewley and Kurtz visit the heath but last season they visited 4 times which reduces that excitement to get to see them for less die hard fans. so in a way I agree with the one top star per team to be the target but I think ultimately the goal should be to have say 10-12 teams with that one top star and drive that draw of “this is your chance to see “top rider X” at your home track this season” but that just seems to so far away from reality with the current state of affairs in uk speedway doesn’t it

I guess it’s a case of how long could he wait on the Northampton team coming to fruition, uncertainty and an offer from Ipswich on the table
