I would imagine Dan T may go Prem only along with Poland / Sweden? I'd think Tigers would want to hold onto Harris & Nagel at all costs.

Assuming the points limit doesn't chance, I'd stick with Hodder & Perry*, most clubs will have at least one 2 point reserve, Tigers pair will have a bit of experience over some.

While everyone wants stronger reserves, doesn't always mean. ore success, last year Glasgow started with Pijper & Smith didn't make the play-offs. This year Scunthorpe, Oxford & Edinburgh have had at least one strong reserve, while Workington are a lot stronger at the bottom end compared to last year, but had a less successful season.

If Glasgow could fit in 6 of this years 7, would mean a powerhouse top 4, but running with 3 reserves!

* unless they can sign Cooper Rushen / Jordy Loftus

Would deffo keep Bomber, Flint, Howarth and Perry. Nagel is a no go, been a farce as good as he is.

Would look at Joe Thompson and Zischke from Workington.

Robinh88   How has Nagel been a farce ??? Glasgow knew he was riding in Poland and Denmark

and could only ride when available to Glasgow. He has shown what he can do and will be in the Glasgow side next year IMO

Really? I'd be surprised if he does UK next season. He's a good rider, I hope he does the UK but can't see it personally.

I spoke to him this morning and he said he had planned on riding in the UK next season, but changed his mind after last night.

He said he’s not flying thousands of miles to play follow the leader. He said he wants to entertain fans.

He also said tell LisaColette to stop talking rubbish in the Poole v Glasgow topic.

He then said Ben Cook buys his race suits from Build-A-Bear.

Just a reminder for those with short memories and /or little knowledge of Glasgow speedway 2025.

Glasgow went for 7 UK born/based riders to minimise disruption to their team and fixtures.

Sadly the signing of Ashton did not work out and they had to look for another 5.0 rider. The only option was to go abroad and we signed Villads. We knew that his Danish/Polish meetings would take priority but in theory that only meant probably missing an away fixture at Poole, Oxford and possibly Workington. In the end he missed 6 away meetings 3 of which were also missed by Dan. You can't legislate for riders being called up for FIM/European meetings, or Polish meetings being rained offf and being re-arranged, and/or being injured.

He is an entertaining, popular young rider as is Dan and I'm sure all Glasgow fans hope they stay with the club and continue to provide entertaining racing both home and away.

Is that a serious question lol?

I'm gonna side with Colsimmo58 on this one. While I agree it's not ideal signing a rider who was always available, the fact Nagel signed after the season started so missed matches he'd already agreed to can't be avoided.

I'd say a far bigger farces would be the riders who were injured on GB, while for in Poland, or Klindt who picked & chose his Plymouth matches without receiving a ban.

Can't be easy finding a replacement who wouldn't miss any matches, look at Redcar, Riss has been missing since June, I'd argue using guests for more than half of the season (fixture wise) is a bigger farce than signing a rider who missed some matches.

Villads is not riding championship next season, too busy across Europe. There are already a number of riders I am aware of who have AGREED deals to double up next season, so forget one league nonsense.

The way Bomber was talking last night it does sound like 2 Leagues next season.( unless it was the Tigers he has signed for).He did say he would like to be back at Glasgow but you got impression it was not them who has already signed for.Sensational riding from him last night, great to watch.

Bomber is a shoe in to be back at Glasgow, as for any of the others , not sure who will be picked.

I take your point on Klindt and Riss BTW, but im not budging on Nagel and he is a terrific talent.
