Redcar 2025

Recommended Posts

Bears star Erik Riss has been forced to take a break from racing due to a reoccurrence of the health issues that blighted him in 2023.
We wish Erik all the best and look forward to having him back when he can overcome the issues.
Erik made the following statement on his social media
It is with deep regret that I have to announce that I am withdrawing from the Long Track GP in Mühldorf this weekend, and also having to take a break from racing for now.
Unfortunately, since last Sunday, I’m experiencing a recurrence of previous health issues which are causing severe discomfort and are impeding my vision.
I am currently in the process of seeing various medical professionals, with the hope of finding answers so that I can receive the appropriate treatments and return to racing soon.

Disaster for Redcar, especially with Riss not having a high average for guests.

However Redcar still have a good team, a strong top 2 & promising reserves.

Of course, hope Riss can make a quick recovery.

i don't think its a disaster sadly he was struggling in the last few Redcar meetings.

Get well soon Erik

Losing both Edwards and now Riss is a massive blow to Redcars season. You need a lot of luck with injuries and sadly for the Bears this hasn’t happened.

No one is stopping Poole regardless

im no poole fan by a long way but they get the same points limit to build with than all other teams

But have considerably more money. Cairns goes there, and I bet rushen will next year.

fully agree

but the team is built to same points limit as all others

poole and glasgow  both can take pick of best riders on there average its a shame the teams are not built around wages rather than points

but aslong as some teams can offer better deals they will always look better option for the riders

Or Plymouth!! (So far) But can win at Glasgow. Strange really.

They won at Glasgow partly due to the fact that Glasgow hadn't raced at home for 4 weeks and didn't have their full team

Most people seem to hate Matt Ford, but you can't knock him, there is not many times he doesn't get team building right

I guess I'm thinking of Erik as a near 9 point rider on a 7 point average, I always expect him to start flying. If Redcar get guests can only replace him based on how well he's going, not how well he had the potential to do?

Not sure they will get guests thinking it will be R/R. Shame because when fit he is their best rider.
