Bit sad the discussion has turned into slating one rider rather than praising the others who gave it a go big home win 2 maximum's and some decent racing . But the focus is on the negative

Scunny were brilliant ,but if your Worky supporters with a250 mile round trip paid good money I don’t blame them.Wont help the sport watching non triers going through the motions(or not in Batch’s case) IMO

Go on then... the floor is yours, knock yourself out, let's hear it, is that all you have to say? Sounds like you want others to do it for you?

No even if as alleged Batch wasn't trying 13 others were and for me that's where the focus should be. I don't need anyone to speak for me especially someone as negative as you are. Was a decent nights racing with some good heats and for me the score doses not reflect the meeting.  Always thought Scunthorpe would be the winners as we are strong at home

The racing at Scunny is always exciting , the fans have decent entertainment most weeks.

"Was a decent nights racing with some good heats" what a rivetingly positive read! You're not going to mention Steve Worrall's paid max and Luke Harrison's his first in the CL and from the No2 position! How brilliant the Kennedy Bro's have been so far this season, best reserves in the league?

The article on the scunny website about the meeting was frank but very true, this is what they put.

Troy Batchelor was awful at No 1 for Workington – probably the worst-ever leading visitor to the Eddie Wright Raceway. The former Grand Prix rider looked completely disinterested, did not finish any of his four outings and even blocked team-mate Vuolas while pulling out of Heat 13. His lack of effort was an insult to travelling Workington fans who made over a three-hour journey to back their team.

Says it all really

Of course the focus will be on the negative. Everyone who saw the meeting either in person or on BSN is fully aware that there was decent racing. The reason for 'slating one rider' is because he was an absolute disgrace and shamed the Workington name. He disrespected the club, he disrespected the management, he disrespected the fans. In fact, what he did was 'cheating' because he failed to try, for whatever reason. When that happens, he should be called out. This isn't the time to sweep it under the carpet.
