No, it isn't easy but Ritchings was a lot more on the pace than Marson was, so correct decision imo.

Bang on, he might have only got 1 point but he won it fair and square.

Good to see a bit of the old fire from Tobias. Lewis seems to be coming on too. Plus of course Max Rowe.

Good win from the pirates.
Lawson fantastic as always and allowing Anders through for the 15point max

Thompson got better as the night went on

Rowe 15 point max, immense from him whether he was out from the gate or coming from the back

Kerr looked a bit more like we’d expect from him tonight, great pass in heat 14 and hopefully that’ll do his confidence the world of good.
Zach worked hard all night, didn’t look his fastest but certainly did the job in his first meeting at 5

Starke was same old really, battled hard all night

Ritchings is a huge improvement, fantastic ride in heat 12 to get the better of Kennedy, even if he hadn’t of scored a point tonight it was clear to see that he’s the type of number 7 you’d want. Fighting for points and never giving up

Truly excellent from Anders Rowe tonight. You can really see the improvement from him. If he avoids injury can really see him become an out and out heat leader and 8+ rider. He made some superb passing manoeuvres and fully deserved his first 15 max, with the help of Lawson who slowed down to allow him through.

Richings was an improvement over Marson and scored a good point beating Kennedy. Kerr had his best meeting so far, Thomsen battled as did Cook. Starke won his first but went completely AWOL before getting a point at the end of the meeting.

Scunthorpe were poor. Worrall battled for not many points. The reserves were decent as was Mountain, but oh dear Lambert and Allen. Harrison was ok.

So finally a decent performance but let’s see how we do on Friday and Saturday up north.

When I heard Sheffield was going to sign Anders Rowe I was over the moon, I felt that he had gone under radar and the starting average we got him would be an absolute steal.

Along with Dan Thompson I would put them at the moment the best two young riders from the UK, and at this present moment I would put Anders slightly in front of Dan.

...and then back to the South West on 24th. 3 consecutive away meetings will test the Pirates.

For their next home match I'd try Kerr at 3, Cook at 4 & Rowe at 5.

Said it for a couple of weeks now Rowe should be at number 5 and Zach and Kerr at 3&4 in whichever order gives the team much better balance.

It’s so clear to see how much Rowe is improving he was class at Plymouth making the gate most the time and a good inside pass there, imo he’s an out and out heatleader defo capable of averaging over 8 I think his gating is his best attribute but by golly he can pass aswell a pleasure to have him at Poole.

was pleased to see Kerr get some good points tonight I think he will be staying at 3/4 all season now,Rowe should be moved to no5 asap feel he’s wasted a bit at no3.

As for Scunthorpe the worry away from home is defo Jake Allen and Simon Lambert they seem to be going backwards, mountain was really good and impressed with there reserves aswell.

How is Anders 'wasted' at 3, after getting 15 riding in that position?
