IainB
LEICESTER’S next home match in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership against Birmingham has been brought forward to this coming Bank Holiday Monday (May 26, midday start). The Watling JCB Lions were to face the Brummies on Thursday May 29; however, that date would now result in the absences of riders from both teams due to re-arranged fixtures in Poland. With the co-operation of all parties, agreement has therefore been reached for the meeting to take place at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park on Bank Holiday Monday at midday. The Lions will then travel to Sheffield for their early evening fixture at 6.30pm, whilst the Brummies have a home match against King’s Lynn at 7.30pm. As a consequence of this change, the scheduled fixture for the Lion Cubs at home to Belle Vue on Sunday May 25 has been postponed, with a new date to be announced. IainB
Part of me is thinking, if all the riders were available to ride at noon on a Bank Holiday Monday, why was this fixture not originally arranged for noon on a BHM? They've now left themselves 5 days to "promote" this meeting!

After 10 mins of watering after heat 4, the track is now just about in the condition it should have been for heat 1. Of course the inside line has not been touched, that's where everybody is riding and the dust is still billowing up from the back wheels. No because Rew's bike was what Drew couldn't avoid and caused him to fall.

Not sure I saw that, but as you say the dust doesn't help making decisions.
