The team was built top heavy with 2 x 2 pointers at reserve, to get a stronger reserve they would have to drop 1 of the top 5 and as you know if we drop 2 then have to bring combined averages to under 40, if our top 4 /5 continue to do the business then it gives our 2 young reserves time to gain experience and they actually do okay against other 2 point reserves

i was meaning another 2 point rider

I’m not one to criticise Oxford Speedway (we all waited ages for it to reopen), but a few things after last night.

First off, Peter Schroeck is a hardworking bloke who’s passionate about the sport. But his decisions, or lack thereof, are starting to get a bit worrying, especially when it affects the team at home. It’s clear to me that there are a lot of empty spaces around the stadium, and winning at home is crucial.

The track is often a dustbowl and hardly ever gets any improvement after some of the longest track grading breaks in speedway.

And let’s not forget about car parking despite a £2 charge It says shuttle bus subject to availability as of yesterday, but in my experience, it’s never been available . This puts off a lot of people, especially those who aren’t as mobile

I think the management of the club should start taking notice of these issues before more and more people start to drift away.

I've had my disagreements with you in the past, but this is spot on.

Talk me through how that stops it being a sensational result? They only scored those points because Glasgow riders stopped them scoring more. Bizarre statement

They all massively underperformed, Bowtell and Gusts were well off the pace and Zach not much better. Glasgow didn't need to be at their best.

To win at any away track, particularly a fellow title challenger you're going to need the home team to underperform somewhere. If bomber only scored 5 on Friday and Poole win by 2 will Poole socials not call it sensational?

Very good summary.

I've been going on about these 10 minute plus grading breaks for ages, I've even started timing them!!!!

It's always easy to moan which I don't want to do but we can't afford to be making silly decisions, some of which must be having an effect on crowd levels as they as clearly down on last year for sure.

I doubt it. I can't see us winning Friday and Harris won't score 5 more like 15.  It was no doubt a good result to win but sensational is a bit over the top.

We were going into the meeting hoping to get 40. Therefore to win my by any means is, imo, sensational. Just as, hypothetically, Poole winning on Friday, would be sensational but also require an underperforming tigers top 5, well 4 as it is now

Wonder what would be getting said if it had been Poole who had just beaten Oxford at home in the league for the first time in three seasons? 🙄

It was a very good result for Glasgow but I thought sensational is a bit ott. Having said that I hadnt realised they havent won there for a such a long time.

Absolutely Sensational wont work then.
