Without Riss we have no second heat leader, Rowe is barely contributing 3rd heat leader scores, meaning McDiarmid is riding out of position. Fair play to Glasgow, a deserved victory, a great night for Hodder but any home team should not be letting an away reserve averaging under 3 to go unbeaten.

Oxford again showing what a big miss Riss is, Kennett did well considering his time away, could be a useful addition if he wants a full time return. While Riss is missing, we need more from Rowe. Solid display from Workington, all chipping in, outside of Poole, the play offs are there for everybody really.

Seems unlikely Cook will be back, would Klindt fit as a straight replacement if Wright is back soon?

Would imagine more likely they are hoping for a new team to enter, Northampton ( if not in for 2026 ) or however unlikely, Coventry, Swindon, Wolves, Peterborough.

I think Oxford would have made the play offs if Knudsen was able to ride, a lot of points dropped when the full 1-7 was unavailable.

If Jody is back at Redcar then I hope he does well. The injury to Nicholls at the end of the 2024 season is still having a knock on effect on the Cheetahs, Nicholls and Scott would have been in last seasons team if Nicholls was fit to start the season, circumstances meant they quite rightly accepted offers when they became available and now both appear to be back at those same clubs for 2026. Id therefore go with Ritchings at 7 and hope they can fill the gap with one of the better SGP2 guys. If Riss is unavailable then it looks tricky to find realistic alternatives if the one over 8 average comes in.

Think Heeps will retire, put Jody Scott at 7 leaves a new 4 point rider. Seems realistic, as long as Riss is able to come back from his illness
