I said that to a friend about 15 minutes ago.It is unusual for Rob not to be on the ball.He usually uses the tactical as soon as he can.I also would have used Klindt RR in ht 14 to partner Kvech. This would have only given 3 rides to Harrison who by all accounts done well though. Still I would have took a 4pt loss before the meeting, but a bit frustrated too that we didn't take anything from it.

If it's just a case of keeping competitive & having an ok season, it's a good result. But if they had any belief they were still chasing a top 4 spot, then it's points they couldn't afford to miss out on.

I think Lynn could have possibly won that had those changes been made.Kvech RR in ht3 instead of Klindt, then a tac sub i think in ht6 for Harrison and Klindt RR in ht14 to partner Kvech. All it's,but's and maybe's.I think Rob must have been thinking we will be 6 or more down by ht14 that's all I can think of why he went this way about things.

Never in doubt…. Save for that bit where we were losing by 4 with 3 to go…

Hats off to both Chris Holder and Klindt who both team rode masterfully to shepherd junior colleagues round. Don’t often see team riding like that anymore

Which heat for Harrison's 3rd ride?

You can look at tacticals, riding order etc etc.

For me, I'm looking at Iversen. 5 points from his last 2 meetings. What's happening there?? 2 points from someone of his experience is abysmal.

My I ask a statistical question, apart from 3 draws at Owlerton I believe in 2005, 1979 and 1971. Have Lynn ever pulled off a win at Sheffield. I'm sure they had but couldn't find it.

Would have left him in 4 just to get his rides out early doors. So that would have left Kvech in ht 6.At the end of the day he should have only got 3 rides once we had the chance of a ts imo.

Lawson has been poor, away especially! Klindt has been very inconsistent but I actually think Niels is the biggest problem

And yet before tonight who had the highest away average for the Stars?

NKI

and next?

Richard Lawson.

And neither of them have had the benefit of a spell at reserve.

The problem with waiting to use a tac sub in heat 14 is that's an unnecessary risk. If they're not 6 down, Harrison gets a 4th ride & Harris doesn't get an extra race.

If they used the tac sub earlier / didn't use Klindt in heat 3, they'd have more options available, if they really wanted to, could give Harrison a 4th ride & replaced Iversen with Kvech in heat 13. There would've been no harm in Harris replacing Kvech in a ride, Kvech can still come out in any heat.

The problem was in those earlier heats they were gate 4's which wasn't working at all.

NKI has probably been our most consistent rider tbh.It is really only his last two matches where he has gone off a bit.Only 2 last places up until the last 2 matches, now he has a further 5.

I don’t think it will be too long before NKI or Nicolai (1 of the 2) is let go though tbh. When the transfer window opens abroad at the end of June I’m sure Lynn will see what riders are kicking about

Your in utter dreamland if you think Buster is going to spend money to try and get Lynn into the play offs.

I agree if anyone was to be replaced it would have be one of those two.Even though NKI has been consistent we need that little more from him imo.Klindt is very frustrating,so inconsistent,he can lose you a match as well as win one for you. They need to make a change soon though if they are to make one, with Birmingham and Leicester away coming up.Those matches are must wins if they want to make the play offs imo.

I really don't know what people expect from Niels, he is 42 and arguably riding at a position on the team he shouldn't be. Like everyone else he's a six pointer for a reason.

As for team changes, I'd agree we may need to be ruthless at some point, and despite what Mr Grumpy from P'boro has piped up with I think Lambert would be asked if he fitted and wanted to come.
