Does anyone know if there is track work going on today? Not 100% sure as walked past and looked like tractors were on the track.

Hopefully they just had a shale delivery.

Surely that Buster Chapman's pick up.

Word is, he felt sorry for them, with only 3k crowds, and delivered the scrapings from our air fence. Go fund me to follow:P

I heard Buster would be over the moon with 3k crowds for speedway meetings!

I'm sure he would be well happy with 2k tbh. He always has plenty of shale and water at hand though. What i meant was with 3k fans, surely Ford could spend a bit on the track, making it a better product for all the loyal fans that keep turning up.

Let's not forget Pirates have hefty stadium rental costs which neither Glasgow nor King's Lynn have, so it's always about balancing the books. Incidentally Danny Ford is quoted in the local Echo that he was very pleased with the track v Glasgow after all the work that he and the track staff put in.

(NB. Don't shoot the messenger, simply quoting from the local newspaper)!😃

If they could get a long lease from the landlord then they would spend more on the track. They would like to widen the track onto the old dog track, but when your landlord won't give you more than 1 year at a time it would be financial suicide to do so.

That's the speedways own fault, the stadium was up for grabs a few years back they chose to go for the easier cheaper option and let Clarke Osborne  take the stadium , do the required work  then rent from him, no good whinging now, fact.
