BluPanther
Richie Hawkins on Vinnie Foord... I know a lot of you will have seen we wanted to use him on Monday at Oxford and what a massive drama that was. Unfortunately, the SCB said he wasn’t going to be allowed to guest so we wanted to put him in the team and then take him out in the same way King’s Lynn have been doing with their Rising Stars. Then we were told Monday morning that we weren’t allowed to do that, but King’s Lynn still would be which to me is completely wrong and I know Chris feels the same way. This is what we work with, and we will do our very best and I’m sure we will all give him a great welcome on Thursday.
StarBoy
Why does Hawkins feel the need to have to drag us into everyone one of his pre-meeting comments? Crack on and worry about yourself lads, no need to concern yourself with what’s going on with us… 1
TTT
BV will be delighted if they can reach the 35 Point mark.
JamesB
My reading of Hawkin’s comments are that the Witches proposed to apply the same approach to the RS position that the Stars have been/are being allowed to use and that this request was refused. If that is correct, then that is a terrible state of affairs. A regulation either applies to none or all. If the Stars have been granted an exception to the regulation then great, but again that exception has to be applied to all.

And was Foord stopped from guesting on Monday, not because he's a Workington rider, but because he was already contracted to ride for his own team at Birmingham. But that still leaves us with the differing treatment of Ipswich and Lynn with respect to swapping rising stars on a regular basis. I presume Zischke can still guest as a BV rider, but if he guests in a Championship match will he now do so on converted Prem average rather than his Worky GSA?

Isn’t there a more official forum where he can vent his frustrations rather than hiding behind his pre-meeting comments, whining like some little b***h.

ShanoXtra
Ipswich should have enough to see this over the line, although Emil and Doyle will be in the shadow of Kurtz and Bewley as apparently by Mark Lemon "We now have the best spearhead in British speedway". Good luck with Bewley and Kurtz outscoring Emil and Doyle at Foxhall. Edited July 8 by ShanoXtra .

tellboy
Can't believe the Ipswich fans believe everything that comes out of Hawkins mouth. This is a man who doesn't have the decency to shake hands in defeat. So he is still sore about that night obviously😅.Who would he be sharing the berth with, was that mentioned?

Think you’ll find Jenkins opted out of the scheme in 2024, but somehow managed to get shoehorned back into it for Ipswich’s benefit in 25…

We were supposed to have Jenkins at RS this year (even though I think it’s wrong anyway that he was allowed back into the scheme after opting out in 2024), but Ipswich kicked up such a stink that they couldn’t retain him once he opted back into the scheme that he stayed there. So much for the draft system…
