What is the actual job of speedway futures Ltd ? Are they running British speedway ? Are they trying to find a sky sports type deal for the sport and then sell it to the bspl (themselves) and keep a finders fee like Russel did last time ?

Based on the Press Release SPEEDWAY FUTURES LINK WITH HARRY – British Speedway Official Website

'Speedway Futures Ltd was set up in 2024 and became the commercial and media rights holders of British Speedway, with the specific objective of attracting long term commercial investment to develop the sport in the UK.

Morris said: “There’s been extensive work over the last year or so, firstly in terms of bringing together a team of people with experienced commercial backgrounds, and expertise in media, which can help us develop the sport.

“Obviously the aim is to bring additional investment into British Speedway, and we have been talking to major multinational sports investment groups about potential future involvement in speedway in the UK.

“Speedway Futures are the new media and commercial rights holders for British Speedway, and we do have various potential deals in discussion which we believe can make a real difference to the sport'

Hmm 🤔

But what is the "link" with 'Arry? He's not named on the board of directors. There's 4 directors:

Godfrey, who has overseen the decline of British Speedway to it's current state.

Louis: A forward thinking promoter and ex rider.

Painter: He seems to have done a tremendous job in attracting sponsorship to the GB Speedway team despite that team rarely actually riding in this country.

Clayton: No idea 🤷‍♂️

BSPL Ltd are named as a person with significant control:

Nature of control
Ownership of shares – More than 50% but less than 75%
Ownership of voting rights - More than 25% but not more than 50%

All of the money put into the company, £32k, seems to have been put in by the BSPL. It very much seems to be a BSPL vehicle and not a great deal to do with 'Arry.

So basically some of the BSPL have set up a company (speedway futures Ltd)to get a media deal for British speedway which they will sell to themselves (BSPL) and keep a finders fee for themselves (speedway futures )excluding the rest of the BSPL from the profits or have I got that wrong ?

Yes and no... Louis and Godfrey are directors of both companies, BSPL also has Damien Bates and Danny Ford... as usual it's a very tangled web speedway has weaved.

Arry’s job is to clear up the mess what’s been left behind😂

Usual position.

Without it British Speedway might get 100% of nothing!

“He will be joining the Speedway Futures Management team, which is great news. He will be focussing on leveraging his commercial and media contacts for the benefit of British Speedway and also actively raising the sport’s profile through all his connections.'

No doubt Harry will be due a % for any contacts he introduces and who invest. I doubt he will have any operational or hands on role

By the sound of it that’s exactly what British speedway will be getting but I’m sure the sail off into the sunset will be a pleasant one for the few, Harry Redknapp doesn’t give a flying F**k about speedway and he does nothing for nothing

I'm sure he doesn't. Most people don't do something for nothing. British Speedway has already had national media exposure because of his involvement.

Any one of us could go out to try to get media exposure and investment for British Speedway, and, if we did, we might expect either payment, a percentage or a finders fee. That doesn't sound unreasonable in principle. Of course, none of us know what that figure might be. It's up to all the BSPA members to make sure it is at an acceptable level.

But my point being most of the BSPL members seem to have been cut out the deal and they will have to accept whatever crumbs they are offered
