Lets be honest Emil avoiding Douglas by doing that he would've been excluded.

Hawkins made it known to the ref about Douglas potentially going over the white line with both wheels and he didn't give a s**t

You’re right he did. He asked him to “take a look at it” but he didn’t wanna know.

Per the regs

012.1.11Leaving the Track

A rider whose machine crosses the inner edge of the track with 2 wheels

must be disqualified unless, in the opinion of the Referee, the action was

taken in the interests of safety for other riders or the rider involved was

forced off course by another rider.

Open to interpretation I guess as to what constitutes 'inner edge of the track'

Compared to the FIM regs: "If a rider crosses the white inside line fully with both wheels or leaves the circuit, they are adjudged to have retired from the race – unless they left the track to take essential avoiding action (e.g. to avoid a fallen rider)."

I think the interpretation of the 'crosses the inner edge of the track' will be the same as 'crosses the white line fully with both wheels'

In any case, the ref wasn't interested!

I think most people have always understood it to be as per the FIM regs, and I suspect refs over here use that as their interpretation.

I suspect the ref on Monday wasn't interested because it wasn't conclusive

Perhaps the UK rule is written differently to accommodate situations such as Belle Vue having a raised kerb, so you can’t fully cross the white line without crossing the inner edge of the track.
