Woke23
Antti was our best rider around northside and actually improved his away average this season. I think Antti, if you actually watched him, will push on to be even better away next season. At Berwick, he got the hang of the track in the end but dirty Kildlemand idioted him over. At Glasgow he struggled but then scored at the end. He'll learn from this and improve massively. I would take Antti and Hook over anyone else in the team. I'd also like to see tate back as I think there's still a good rider in there, plus the reduction in his racing schedule and improved equipment is going to help him out massively. Looking at the stats alone for Voulas 2024 home 8.74 (9.16) away 4.00 (4.32) 2025 home 8.55 (9.27) away 4.71 (5.24) Overall ave went up from 6.40 (6.77) to 6.68 (7.32).
szkocjasid
I think Vuolas' away from, especially last year looks bad because he was so good at home. Look at it another way, first season over here for a foreign rider, never got a spell at reserve, if he averaged 5.00 (6 at home, 4 away) fans would probably have looked on that as a great debut season, but because his home average was more than double his away (4 points greater) taken out on context, it looks like a rider who can only ride his home track. This year can't have expected him to get any better at home, but upping his away ave, while moving from a second strong to heat leader position, is a step in the right direction. Of course if Workington want to challenge for trophies in 2026, then they'll be looking for Vuolas to improve his away form (if he's back) as it'll be his 3rd season, seems a fair time to expect more then. SteelShoe Posted yesterday at 05:27 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 05:27 PM If it is to be 1 league (still to be decided) then I would love to see Dan the Man spearhead his local team, that would be fantastic.

Yeah agree, Antti has talent no doubt, his equipment rarely lets him down and his attitude seems very good and he comes across as professional. Generally very good at Northside and slightly improved away, He just needs to have more confidence in himself, gate better more often and want it a bit more if he is to achieve his potential. Tate surely a shoe in for next season, I would hope he has learned a lot from a disappointing season and be better prepared in 2026. Like Antti, he needs to work on sharpening up his gating. Marksman Posted yesterday at 07:12 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 07:12 PM My hopes for 2026.. Someone new to ride at No.1. What's Mr Cook doing these days.... Only Joking 😄 Batchelor to ride at No.5, on his 6.80 average and not riding at No.1 he will be a really good signing. Disagree with anyone who thinks otherwise! Some returning faces, except for Fraser Bowes. Hope he travels in a fried out kombi. Track to be setup more like 2024, British U19 Final showed what it should be like Batchelor to not be assistant Track Curator Some form of prestigous meeting held at the GT Tyres Arena BSN Series to be re jigged, Boring facing only Redcar and Scunthorpe in early season meetings Bring back the Border Trophy More guarranteed Home meetings, wishful thinking! As for a No 1, anyone who doesn't fit in at Berwick, Glasgow, Redcar will do.

Heard theres an Allied Trophy for 2026 which should be great with 2 new teams hopefully spearheaded by a new number 1 who is looking forward to riding round the GTTA. Could be an interesting few month for Comets fans.

Track needs to be set up better definitely. On countless occasions this season I've found myself saying, "there's no outside line". Im wondering if a certain young Dane who attended the memorial meeting has signed for us.
