And if no TV deal, it will remove a huge amount from the budget..... Even "staying the same" might just be a pipe dream.. Which isn't going to help move the sport forward in anyway, shape or form, is it? The hole they have dug for themselves over the last two decades is certainly a very deep one to climb out of... Unfortunately those who sleep walked themselves into it, are also, in the main, the same ones trying to get themselves out of it... Exactly why it can't be a 36.00 Limit for a Top 5. 36.00 Limit for a Top 5 makes the League stronger than last year with no potential TV deal / loss of income. If a team could fit him in, he’d be a great little no. 5 in a watered down league … I’m guessing we can’t fit him in unless we choose one of Brady and Dan. If we pick only one of them then I’m pretty sure he will be back

It may very well be a weakend League next season but don't forget that Belle Vue weren't seriously challenging for anything this season with Kurtz and Bewley being backed up by Lidsey and Z. Cook. To fit Kurtz and Bewley in again within a 36.00 Limit then you'll need to get rid of the 2025 backup to them and put faith in riders who haven't improved at all. Any planning for 2026 should see a No.3 & No.4 pairing of B. Cook and Z. Cook imo, Two riders who can fly around the NSS in the engine room and improve starting GSA's of 6.39 and 6.20. We didn’t seriously challenge Ipswich. They knocked us out of the cup & play offs and rightly so given the team they had this year, next year will not be as good as they’ll have to de strengthen. Our team this year was basically the same as our title winning team from last season and if it stayed the same for next season, we’d be in the mix again. Glen
Who’s to say that Bewley and Kurtz don’t ride in U.K. next year. Riders have very little loyalty and ride where they’re paid best. A TV deal is paramount I understand for the Premiership to continue in something like its present form. If it doesn’t then Lindsey could well be BV’s new number one!
