IMO Definitely not. I think it’ll be close; my heart says us, but my head says them. Wouldn’t be surprised if we see a Dan Thompson masterclass. I think both sides look strong, so hopefully we’ll see some good racing.

Dan has now got Polish commitments and will miss some Saturdays, last Saturday being an example, so while he may well outscore Chris, Glasgow have made the right long term decision.
Noelinho Posted yesterday at 08:16 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:16 AM I expect Mario to struggle. Kevin might be OK but will likely be outscored by opposite numbers on his first visit. I'm pretty sure Edinburgh will win but let's see how our new boys adapt during the meeting and see how our reserves stack up. The 1-3-5 boys should be fairly equal and entertaining.

Maybe, but it’s a fine margin. Howarth’s no shows in heat fifteen and the race-off in the play-off final somewhat deflect the fact that at times, he was remarkable last season. His 5-1s with Harris against Edinburgh in the semi-final, taking Masters from behind (the Bishop said to the maid) at Ashfield, absolutely bullying Zach Cook at Ashfield in a critical race of the final, etc. Thompson’s 2025 was a strange one. I don’t think he was the same rider after his hand/wrist injury suffered in the U21 final. He had a great season, some tremendous meetings and played a huge part in our season, but his last effort in a Tigers’ race suit was to be surrender three points in being passed by Lewis Kerr. You could reverse engineer a whole meeting on where it was won and lost, but Thompson being done by Kerr wasn’t in the forecast. I’m in no doubt however that Thompson will have a fantastic season at Armadale. Weeyin Posted yesterday at 01:27 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 01:27 PM Got my tickets for this, hope the weather is fair, can see a monarchs win, as I expect Mario and Kevin to struggle with the technical track and both have never seen it. The 3 heatleaders will need to be on top form but will have a tough challenge against Dan T who has been superb at Armadale when there with the tigers. Hopefully the tiggers can keep it close.
Mr Blobby Posted yesterday at 02:08 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 02:08 PM Should have the upper hand in the Top 5 but Glasgows reserves could be key, Hagon should be the strongest on Show and Hodder has had good races at Edinburgh in the past. I know was only practice but Cluff seemed to struggle to get round the place so leaves a lot of pressure on Yong Jordy to score some points. If one of the top 5 aren’t riding to their capabilities Glasgow could nick it. Never a huge fan of coming up against the old enemy without having a home match under our belts.

Beautiful sunny day in Edinburgh and tonight has to be one of the least predictable meetings ever. If Bomber shows last night’s form, he’ll be good for a few but young Dan will be determined to make a point. My prediction? Not a clue
TheScotsman
My prediction? It'll be Baltic!! May the best home team win.
King Jamie
When I left sunny Armadale for the final time last season, I had a song in my head - 'When will I see you again?' Perhaps fittingly, BBC tells me that tonight it will feel like 3 degrees. Wrap up well everyone!

Tapeworm
We'd best enjoy this tonight because the cost and future scarcity of fuel could prove to have a devastating impact on 'national' speedway which requires riders, team owners/managers, and spectators to drive the length and breadth of the UK. Apart from the increased cost, it could soon become very risky setting off on a long round trip without any certainty of refuelling as required to get home. Watching the stream for rider safety can someone move the wheel barrow away from the edge of the track

He’s only one of many who need excuse for not getting round Armadale, and some have been there many times.
