King’s Lynn Stars vs Northampton Foxes - Monday 20th April

That Northampton team is shocking. I read a few weeks back in the Star that they’ll need to keep an eye on performances and if need be, the other promotions may need to help them out. Well they need it already before a wheel is turned because this team is going to struggle winning a meeting at home let alone away!

Perhaps Lynn & Ipswich will 'help them out' with the two cup meetings at Brafield.

Thing is Bagpuss what does help out look like ? from a rider prospective I can't see anyone willing to ride here who's better than what they already have so can only think it will be helping out more to cover the likely trading losses.

I was thinking more about the results of their first two home meetings if the group is already decided after their two away matches this week. A cynical view I know but a couple of home wins would do them wonders.

Unless of course they can get something at Lynn or Ippo this week.......

King's Lynn should win this one considering Lidsey's early season form.

In Poland?  He's on a bit of a hiding to nothing in that awful Częstochowa team!  He did OK is Leszno, haven't watch the Lublin meeting on a stream but it's against arguably the strongest 1-7 in the league and it would have been his home debut.

He was awful in sparring matches too for Czestochowa.

Lidsey is one of those riders isn’t he. He’s never going to be a serious player, but is handy to have in a third heatleader role.

Looking forward to seeing if they are actually in race suits or just some hastily prepped race jackets.

All we've been privy too so far are some dodgy AI mock up's

Ah I'm with you and to be fair it sounds the more likely route Lynn visiting Fricke is abroad and Rambo Lambo drafted in for the meeting carry on, teams not declared to as late as possible that used to really get me and one of the reasons I stopped going.

They certainly are in kevs although there are several different shades of blue among them!

Doubt he will be any better tonight either

Pretty decent effort to be fair from Lidsey beating Fricke x3 on his home track.

 Jaimon Lidsey - 3, 1, 1, 3, 1', 3, 3 = 15+1

Thought Northampton rode well tonight, although with twelve last places they were never realistically in with a shout.

The racing was much better than last week although the track is still a bit too slick and dry and the starts need to be grippier as at the moment its too easy for opposing riders to make good starts and clear off, need a little more dirt to give a bit more home advantage.

Lynn reserves well worth their combined paid 12 and the middle order were excellent, just need to get Fricke & Kvech going properly now, one win between them way below what they should be and will be producing before long. Both seemed to be chasing the set up tonight.

Sheffield next Monday will be a huge test.

He has always said his favourite UK track was Kings Lynn if they prepared it right.

I hope they get going against the Owlerton Tigers.  Fricke had an exceptional season in 2025, new home track for 2026, you need to give him time. Kvech is a bit of an enigma, think Stars need to put Cook at #5, Kvech at #4.

Fricke said after the meeting that it's s big change for him and he's getting used to things, I remember him making a slow start at Leicester a couple of years ago so I have no concerns, he'll be fine.

Kvech has been excellent at the AFA since his very first meeting but is struggling to find the set up on what is at the moment an unusually slick Lynn track, he'll be fine too.

The reserves were much better last night and I expect them to carry on in that vein, they both have so much potential.
