Berwick v Scunthorpe07/05/26 Championship 7pm

Berwick fresh from reaching their 2nd semi-final of the season, welcome Scunthorpe as they get their league campaign underway. For the Bandits already with injury problems they use R/R for Peter Kildemand with Dayle Wood guesting for Reid Battye. Scunthorpe have 1 change with Dan Gilkes brought in to replace Simon Lambert, who in the past has ranked Berwick as one of his favourite away tracks. Scunthorpe will be hoping Pickering continues his current form to keep score respectable. Prediction- With bonus points important in reaching a playoff position  can see a 56-34 home win.

The forecast I see, shows it'd be dry from 2pm onwards, so did they call this one off too early?

Clearly the forecast that the Referee was seeing.

Wonder if the shows in the carpark and injuries are the real reasons. Referee in Berwick from yesterday as he was officiating at Armadale last night

It’s been a very wet morning, and I did see the shows have taken up over half the FREE carpark, and like has been said 3/4 Bandits out, along with Harrison, after a successful start to the season crowds wise I dont mind the call tbh. Hopefully no Scunny fans had accommodation booked.

Then next week apparently we have the bikers festival thingy so they will be taking up a lot of the car park as well

Those wondering about the call off will be pleased to know that the very north of Northumberland has been basking in some bloody miserable weather this morning… great decision!
