Ipswich Witches 2027

Drew Kemp isn't in Leicester's plans for 2027.

Witches tail has Kemp, Cairns and a Rising Star written all over it tbh and I'd be very happy with that tbh.

Who was the lad we had last year against Belle Vue at Foxhall who couldn’t get past the second bend?

🙈

Wasn't it Vinnie Foord after a debate about whether he was allowed to guest or not?

Bewley and Doyle will lead the witches 2027

Ok, with King it’s just about doable but the tail would be wagging.

9.65 for two of the top 5, you’re looking at Howarth + an assessed 5 pointer or Kemp.

No rumours of Rushen being in (As of yet) but it's interesting that this Team = 37.00 exactly and it features 6 rumoured riders.

Also if Doyley runs on a ACU license would he qualify for the 2.5% Reduction? If he would qualify then JD would be on a 8.40.

1. J. Doyle 8.62

2. C. Rushen 4.73

3. D. King 7.17

4. D. Kemp 4.92

5. D. Bewley 8.56

6. W. Cairns 3.00

7. V. Foord (RS)

Fair play to Richard Coleman. Best thing to happen to Ipswich Speedway for an awful long time you have to admire what he’s doing there.

The first few meetings at Ipswich will be very interesting next year. Hope it all goes well for them and they get the right results they’re looking for.

I wish Tom all the best and even though it won't be at Ipswich, I still hope to see him get back to his best.

Been a rollercoaster journey at Ipswich for Tom, The highest of high's and the lowest of low's but the good times will always be the ones that are remembered.

Think that pretty much confirms the Dan Bewley deal as well tbh.

Something had to come from the Wroclaw Agreement when Richard Coleman was hinting at dual contracts in the Press release.

Well that has come a shock, and a late change....Brennan on that average is a steal for somebody.

Am i right in saying.....And don't shoot me if i'm wrong....But have Ipswich Kept Danny King over Tobi Musielak, or have i read that wrong.

The 7 was done by all accounts, but as iv'e said so many times, we are all guessing. But i would think some of the Prem sides (Well that's 6 of them) will start doing some announcing in next few days.

But if the King thing is correct, and people are saying that's a good move, then im sorry but i must be missing something with King on that average.

Coleman confirmed only last week that they only had two riders confirmed, but “contracts sent out to three others” with dialogue continuing for the last two so not sure who was telling you the 7 riders were done Siggy.

No, not as simple choosing King over Musielak. Musielak is around a point more expensive than King and he just wouldn’t have fitted with the two heatleaders that Mayfield want to bring in.

I agree with you on Brennan. I’d have done everything possible to include him on his average, but maybe after such a bad year he just wanted a fresh challenge to get him going again?

I don’t expect big improvement from King on 7.17, but I don’t see a major drop off either. His average is about right and his Foxhall scoring should see him maintain that in the engine room.

The pivotal signings will be the two riders between 4 and 5 point averages who will make up the top 5. That will determine if we’ll be challenging or not.

May look like a long tail on paper but it won't be once Clubs start announcing signings due to the 2027 rule in regards to U21 riders.

Drew Kemp's head goes from time to time but he's got so much experience in the PREM to a point where all he has to is clean up the easy points against your out of depth Rising Stars and flaky foreign U21 riders who wouldn't have ridden a British track before.

Will Cairns is head and shoulders above some of the names being branded for reserve spots next season to a point where he's certain to clean up the vast majority of the time and every Club knows it as well hence the bidding war over him when it comes to the Top 3 Clubs in Britain who always feature in the Play-Offs.

All Danny King has to do is 7/8 Points a night, Nothing flashy like a 10+1 will be needed, Just solid consistency will do the job because Doyle, Bewley and Cairns should be around the 29/30 Pts a night mark.

Therefore Kemp, Foord and the other 2nd String will only need to get 10 between them to win.

Looking at his Facebook feed I don’t think it’s Brennans decision, looks like Ipswich weren’t sure they could fit him in

With the three heatleaders, Cairns or another 3 pointer will be a must at number 6. We’d then have 9.65 for two members of the top 5. If we retained Brennan, we’d only have 3.89 left for a top five member.

We all know it’s a numbers game unfortunately.

Our options are assessed 5 pointers, Kemp, Rushen and Howarth. We’ll have to pluck two from those IF Bewley joins Doyle and King at the top of the team.
