It's nonsense isn't it?...

We have averages for the riders, but we won't always use them..:D

When you don't use what is already there you then get subjectivity, which then, understandably, leads to questions of integrity...

Riders have an average, gained by what they did, and could have gained that average in a league with a higher standard then today, or maybe weaker, we won't be able to tell, hence subjective reappraisal is done...

Regardless of any time lapsed the average you last delivered should be the one you ride again on, as basically the UK end up rewarding riders for giving it a miss...

The sport needs to be far, far more transparent..

Must admit, I'm amazed at how Nilsson is a 4.50.

Richard Coleman is a true professional to a point where he's found something wrong with the rules set by amateurs on assessed averages.

6.00 would've been a fair assessment imo as it's likely that Kim's final average would be anywhere between 5.75 and 6.50 which would be on point with the vast majority of engine room riders.

Just looking at the criteria gives you plenty of loopholes I would think...:D

And as has been mentioned, Riss on a converted average will provide plenty of room for guests if his head injury comes back, after he has ridden enough Premiership matches..

A "proper sport" would of course say anyone who has achieved "elite status" by reaching the GP's,  should be 7.00 (at least), especially as so few HL positions exist over here due to only six teams,  suggesting any GP rider should be in the "top 12" of UK Speedway, given so few top level riders ride over here..

And anyone who has to pull out of a meeting due to a known recurring injury should mean his team only get RR, at best, as a facility..

I am sure Richard Coleman will enjoy himself pitting his wits against the other promoters..:D

I think we can safely say for one thing. Kim nilsson will not be a 4.5 average

Based on? Do you know if rules are changing?

The rumoured team of Doyle, Bewley, King, Riss, Nilsson, Cairns and Foord doesnt fit if he isnt a 4.50?

In the other forums theres someone saying thats definitely the team

What have you heard?

Based on his last official average. Current swedish champion and GP rider. There is no way he will be given a 4.5 average

His last official average in UK was from almost 10 years ago now.

Based on the assessed average chart in rule book stuff like Swedish champ doesnt come into it.

Gp rider does but only if 2 consecutive seasons in last 5 which he hasn't been.

The rules say 4.50 so we will have to wait and see

Doesn't seem right but thats how the rules read. Only way otherwise is if the rule book has changed

His last official average is irrelevant. Long since expired.

Being a GP rider is also irrelevant bizarrely as per the current regulations.

“Subject to BSPL approval”

Have to wait and see.

When oxford brought back kildermand. He was given a 6 point average.

Whats the difference. Is it just coleman now in charge and doing what he wants??

They used his latest Rzeszów average at the time from poland league 2 of 1.919 per race (x4 = 7.676)

Falls into the 6.00 bracket: "Polish league 1 (Metalkas 2) with a published average of 6.00 or above"

Kvech in 2024 for Lynn wasnt a GP 8 even though he was in the series. First GP year so they used his polish league conversion in same way

By the 2026 rules hes a 4.50 but its still a guess till they publish 2027 rule book

In charge of what? Coleman is in charge of Ipswich and nothing else.

He’s not trying to get around anything and people who have used the word “loophole” on here clearly have no idea what that actual word means.

The regulations for assessing averages are there for all to see, its black and white., no grey.

The only thing we don’t currently know, is whether those regulations have been altered for 2027.
