  1. Stewart Dickson mentioned on the Leicester v BV BSN stream last night that Nick's ban ends soon. I don't know if he's got him in mind to replace Luke Becker!
  2. I've asked the BBC why they haven't reported on last night's meeting!
  3. No, but they are the ones who put their lives on the line for our entertainment and would soon say something if the track was bad.
  4. I was at the meeting and watched the stream this afternoon on Discovery+. When Chris Holder was interviewed he said the track was good. He also said the problem the Tigers riders had was that none of them could get their set ups right so they were all doing their own thing to try and improve things. Brennan and Pickering had obviously found something that worked late on in the meeting. None of the riders I saw interviewed had any complaints about the track.
  5. Leicester still at Sheffield in the evening. Leicester v Birmingham 12 noon start.
  6. I think that's what Kelv must mean. The crowd were all healthy as there didn't look many there at all.
  7. The team manager should tell them then!
  8. Just to add a little to the thread about track watering. Many years ago I went to a meeting at Long Eaton that was called off on a nice sunny evening because the track was waterlogged. Not because of a cloud burst but because the track had been overwatered!
  9. I'm in Devon and I'm not buying a stream that doesn't start until the match is finished. I shall just get the heat results up on proboards for free!
  10. I'm hoping to be at the Under 21 Qualifier at Plymouth on the 28th April. Can anyone tell me if there is parking on the grass at the track or if the Coypool Park and Ride car park is the best option.
  11. I know Oxford's team manager gets a lot of stick but surely he talks to his riders about gate positions in heat 15 and a Super Heat if there is one!
  12. There's been no appreciable rain for over a week in Leicester. Bring your goggles!
  13. Sam's Grandad, Alf, rode for Leicester Hunters from 1957 until 1961. According to Alan Jones' book on the Leicester Hunters Era he was the anchorman between reserves and heat leaders. He rode for England five times during their winter tour of Australia in 1958/59.
  14. Funnily enough the land that the Leicester track is built on was part of the City Council's Sewage Farm and is contaminated by heavy metals contained in the effluent. Thats why there are no houses on it. So you could say Beaumont Park is a brownfield site!
  15. Are there two Drew Kemps? According to the Star the one who rides for Leicester was born in Germany and the one who rides for Berwick was born in England.
  16. They could give supporters the choice of paying on the gate or buying on line in advance and paying an additional booking fee.
  17. Some people might not be prepared to stand in a 200 yard or longer queue!
  18. Does anyone know when the tickets will go on sale?
