Joe Haines

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Anybody got any information about Joe Haines?

Has rode in the last couple of second halfs at Redcar and has looked very impressive. He tied up to a contract anywhere?

Ben Hopwood has also been in the last couple and looked very good too, both very promising riders indeed.

Thanks

As already said, he cant sign a contract yet and will be 15 soon but having bought Joe down to Wolves alot last season, it became clear that when he does get the chance to sign a contract, it would be of great benefit to him to sign for a Premier League team that has very strong connections to an Elite League team.

So BOZ, if you are a Redcar fan, it would probably be a safe bet he will be at reserve for the Bears in 2008 with CVS having him in "his right pocket but could put him in the left pocket" ;)

thanks for that, didnt think he was old enough to sign for a club but was just wondering if he had any close links to clubs. Great to hear that there is even a slight possibility of him ending up with us at some point, has looked very good when i have seen him.

Might be a safer bet that he'll be at Workington, since that's the "Premier League team that has a very strong connection to his Elite League team".

I know Joe and his dad very well and agree that Workington do have strong links to an Elite League track.

However, he likes riding on a prepared track and thats where part B of your suggestion falls short.

Wolves 2010 - led by Fredrik Lindgren and

Tonight at Wolverhampton there was an Under 15's match after the Arena Essex match with Dinosaurs V Cobras with Joe at number one for the Cobras.

As there was a few accidents, there was only one nominated heat and Joe went through his three rides unbeaten with 9 points.

DINOSAURS 13

Adam Wrathall 2 2 2 = 6

Kyle Norton X - = 0

Nick Laurence 3 1' 1' = 5+2

Tom Davies 1 0 = 1

Adam Challinor 1 = 1

COBRAS 17

Joe Haines 3 3 3 = 9

Greg Blair 1 2' 0 = 3+1

James Cartmell X X = 0

James Sargeant 2 3 = 5

I can also tell you that Joe Haines will make his Conference Debut on September 7th, shortly after his 15th Birthday.

how did Greg Blair look? Seen him ride a few second halfs as well and was coming on in leaps and bounds until he got an injury.

Well Done to James Sargeant, Sheffield mascot who I believe is still only 12, and in his first year of competative racing.

Boz - Greg Blair wasnt really to steady and had a few falls as most heats were re-run at least once.

Joe Haines was by far the star of the show with his best time being 61.39 and the next best time was James Sargeant with 64.93.

Little James was possibly the next best on show while Adam Wrathall and Nick Laurence did quite well.

kyle norton was the only rider really injured. He went down the back straight on the outside of Joe Haines and both entered the bend together.

Joe rode safe and went to the white line while Kyle went mid track and half way round his rear wheel went round too much and at this point his front wheel lifted and down he went as Adam Wrathall and Greg Blair both crashed into his bike and knocking him.

I sat with him on the track with the St Johns and he had a problem with his right knee which looked like he may have some ligament damage or badly bruised.
