The standard of the league last season was the same at the start of the year and the end of the year, regardless of a 38.00 or 42.00 average total. End of season averages are now used for this season, so the starting 38.00 is irrelevant now. When you take the average of team totals from last season which isn’t totally accurate due to some assessed averages replacing higher averaged riders, it is above 41.00. Lesser riders because their average fits more than likely. Riders who improved their average have, on a whole, become better riders over the year. As much as "lesser riders" will take their place the standard would still be the same as the beginning of last year. These lesser riders may progress to be better! The lineups for music festivals from years ago will always look better than today's if you look at them today. Because bands booked as small bands back then have gone on to become headliners.
