Shame with the change in race format they couldn't have formatted the centre green presenter and removed you.

Gambo95 91 Posted August 29, 2021 Seems to have been a fairly competitive meeting (according to the updates) so hopefully there was a decent crowd (I was at a wedding). Well done Screm, updates team etc and the promotion for filling a fixture gap.
topsoil 2,498 Posted August 29, 2021 Decent meeting. Some good racing, if not a lot of passing. Some heats with two races in one. For a challenge / friendly it was what you expected. The riders had fun and you could tell there is a bond between them all, as witnessed by the number of times cut out chains were pulled after the races finished. It could have been easy for the promotion to say 'tough' after the Eastbourne matches were called off and the season tickets holders would have lost out on two matches. But credit where it is due, they looked after their customers. New format for the racing, where you could give four of your team an extra ride somewhere. It was different. Gives team managers something to think about. Only positives came out of last night.
sparks123 147 Posted August 29, 2021 Think the format worked quite well (maybe let the team managers choose what number they want the R/R at to give them more options)? It was something along the lines of the old 6 man teams from the late 90's (remember Ipswich sending out Golob 1 race, Rickardsson the next, Louis the next etc). muirspud 15 Posted August 29, 2021 1st time at Berwick for some years. Hardly changed. Quite liked the format. Makes the back end of the meeting, even more competitive and you must have a strong 3/4 riders. Young Flinty looks a star in the making. I expected not many passes, but the racing was still quite competitive. Overall, enjoyed it!
