He's still in their declared team, but they can use Hume every week & don't really need to replace him.

Clouting is their number 8 now isn't he?

Hans Andersen favourite in the 1.30 at Curragh this afternoon.

Unusual way of trying to find form but good luck to him!

In many ways it is a ridiculous sport, however naming an old style number 8 when using RR isn't. It's something that should happen.

On another note looking at some old photos of Ipswich circa 1990 they had a squad of 11 riders & no doubling up. Speedway the only sport to have spent 30 years in reverse!

Whether they run these leagues or not the best riders will end up over there imo .....

I am sure they will too..

But it does help them get to know potential riders, how professional they are, what their personalities are like etc..

Even if they extend to a 10 team top league there is still only a maximum 30 places available to overseas riders therefore knowing who is capable, and who isnt, will assist the ongoing succes of their brand..

With the young riders getting to sample what it is like to ride in a professional organisation which look after you well, but put huge expectations on you to succeed given the size of the prizes on offer..
