I have just seen it on the Scunny website that our next home meeting on the 10th May will be against Workington in the BSN Series & NOT Oxford in the League.

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
IronScorpion replied to SpeedwayFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He has not started the season how he finished last plus he has got his managerial duties now with the Stags/Prowlers(some Thursday's). -
Scunfield start on Thursday at Sheffield if that is any consolation.

Redcar v Scunthorpe - 19/4/2024, BSN Series
IronScorpion replied to pvm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well done the Scorpions. A result I never expected half way through & Redcar to pull away but the injury & resulting withdrawal was pivotal. Danny King went AWOL, Knudson eased up, Edwards was superb all night, Bailey came to the party & both reserves missed out on them 3rd places but was this because of the pressure we put on them finding our feet. MPT had a great night again having to work for his paid max, Howarth got it together, Allen had an unexpected night going by how his season has started & being an ex Bear but all the others chipped in running only ONE last place after heat 7. -
Workington v Redcar 20/04/24 3pm BSN

I think it is more this year that Poland want you for practice as well as the meetings. -
Plymouth v Scunny - KO Cup 2nd Leg
IronScorpion replied to jbell1995's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
How the riders & mechanics do this job, I don't know. From Redcar tonight, they have to fit in washing of bikes & gear, sleeping, eating, traveling, bike set up to arrive at Plymouth for about 5pm. What track work was done because I thought I had seen it of extending & widening of bends 3 & 4 but someone told me it was bends 1 & 2 as well? -
Redcar v Scunthorpe - 19/4/2024, BSN Series

As others have said, we have some riders that have ridden well at Redcar & similarly not so good. J Smith being brought in could be a M Clegg of last year, too rusty. Hope for a good safe meeting for all riders but feel we may just lose this 48-42 after Redcar have had a kick up the backside. -
I wonder how many "amateurs" turn out in meetings having taken medicines, smoked or drunk alcohol days before a meeting.

I would think that Nathan's average would jump up to about 3.2/3.3 on 1st May due to his 12 from 5 against Redcar in the BSN League meeting. Looking back, he rode in about 15 league meetings in 2023 so unsure if 2023 BSN league meetings count in a rolling average(KO Cup still does not) plus the team average increases by 0.5 in May so a guest up to about 3.2 or a re-declaration up to about 3.7 could take place until Nathan is fit again.

12.4.2024 - Scunny vs Plymouth KOC
IronScorpion replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
To be honest, with the team put out by Plymouth, it was a score I expected but the performance of Plymouths riders made it very hard work, non more so of the maximums of Tofty & Allen. First time we have had dust for a while probably due to the warm weather we have had up here these last few days drying the track out too much plus altering the track surface with a couple of grades(something not normally done). Get well soon Nathan & other riders suffering knocks. -

The Enviromental Agency should pull their fingers out & dredge the most severe waterways of flooding, notably River Ouse, the River Severn areas & Cambridge areas as they flood every year. Also, where cliff erosion is more prevalent, they could place large rocks, boulders or concrete near to cliff edges to break up the power of the waves. -

Be aware that there has been a couple of tidal flood warnings these last few days in Hull & the south bank from Barton to South Ferriby with the A1077 being closed. The alternative route, if used, would be A15, A18/M180 into Scunthorpe heading right at Morrisons roundabout, having the steelworks on your right following signs for Normanby. -
Plymouth Gladiators 2024

The rules were changed last year where a 28 day facility is not extended. Both Wolves & Scunny had to adapt where, from memory, Wolves used guests up to 75% of Beckers average where we used guests for a few meetings then made 2 changes (which I was not happy about at the time) -
5.4.2024 - BSN Series - Scunny v Redcar
IronScorpion replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The riders knew about the dip, some even inspected it & with multi racing lines at Scunthorpe, could the incidents been avoided? There has been ruts, holes, dips etc on most tracks over the years, notably Poole & Leicester. -
