GP line-up for 2026
Ghostwalker replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
That is almost always how they choose. When it was top 8, riders who finished 9 and 10 was almost always guaranteed a wild cad. Not saying it's right, just that it is how it usually work (unless those riders already qualified GP challenge. - Today

I disagree. You need to be in the top 7 to qualify for next season. All 7 achieved that goal this year. lindgren to me is by far the most entertaining to watch unparalleled. Adams was top dog in the EL year after year for many many seasons. This is the first season Fricke will have topped the averages. I get the comparison on world stage level but Adams was in a different league in the EL.

Ace rode brilliant on the night and has ben the last few weeks. To get his confidence back up to the level it is has been very much a work in progress type of situation. Its still on going but we are certainly getting there. Jody had passed Nagel in Heat 6 on the line and then been all over the back of Dan Thompson in heat 9. I did deliberate over the change in heat 12 but decided in my mind that Jody was very capable of beating Perry or Hodder and deserved another go at Thompson. I agree Ace deserved more rides but I didn't feel anyone warranted being taken out of a ride. Tate led heat 14 with Ace until a mistake out of bend 4 saw him nearly run into the back of Ace and ultimately cost him 3rd place when Hodder past him. If that hadn't happened Im pretty sure they would have gotten the 3-3 that looked on the cards. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and afterwards its easy to say I should have done this or should have done that, however its a big balancing act about juggling with riders confidence while getting what I feel is the best results for the team. Hope that answers your questions Gav

Best of Luck to The Lions tonight... Of the three managers left in, I would suggest most neutrals would be rooting for Stewart Dickson... Always gives an honest balanced appraisal even in defeat... Whilst naturally disappointed he was exceptionally sportsmanlike last year when hammered by the Aces, and magnanimous in defeat... Unlike some who appear to be about to burst into tears and just seems to moan about referees, when they fail, (again)...😁 Come on Max!!!!!

He would have, but as he said all those years ago, he can't use a "compooter" can he?😉😁

Would be nice if he did but he’s not the kind to chuck good money after bad. Maybe a decent forward thinking growth plan may enable HR and the team to attract some healthy sponsorship money.
