If you check the bspl Web site, buxton is the only club whose Web page is not yet up and running. The bspl only take information from those Web pages ( lazy journalism) and so they have no information to give.
-
That’s well worth a thought which could lead to this mass delay

I've genuinely no idea, however I'll say that Glasgow's social media presence and content are second to none in my opinion (based on the rest of the clubs). Poole follow very closely behind in 2nd place in my opinion too. If I was in charge of an agency that posted content from other clubs, I would probably favour their content over others, just because of how polished it always is.

Could Mayfield be involved in Northampton as well? Waiting to release a statement in regards to both Clubs hence why this joke of a winter has dragged on and on?

Looks like we have a spammer on the forum

Always gonna get positive and negative comments. It is a forum, and I guess it needs addressing by the mods. -
Speedway Futures / Mayfield whoever have really got their job cut out
-
Whole thing has turned out to be a complete shambles.

Not sure what is happening in the European and FIM U19 and U24 meetings at this time of year, but these require UK based riders to be available 24 hours prior to the events, which are usually on a Sunday, so just maybe, some of these blan dates maybe so they avoid a clash and various teams are not looking for several guest riders

do they really add anything positive to the forum though? More harm than good and i would say good posters are probably deciding not to come on here because of the constant drivel. -
Us fans are just customers to them at the end of the day . Same as football really. Although the powers that be in football know they can treat them that way as they know they will keep turning up week in week out. The Glazers at United being a prime example. The powers that be in speedway don’t have that luxury . They’re signing the death warrant to the sport. They’re doing nothing to try and promote a bright future and the dwindling crowd numbers will continue to prove this until the sport disappears for good.

The sad thing is that nothing ever changes and it is business as usual for those running the sport. Even those fans looking at the Championship fixtures are moaning so it is a case of as you were all round. Do think anyone would listen/take notice of the paying punters if collectively supporters boycotted just one home meeting to make a point and leave the riders performing in front of empty terraces? Another point which comes to mind, if Mayfield have taken over Ipswich, will they have to wait a few years before they are allowed to sit at the top table? Oh well just sit back and wait for the moans from promoters about the lack of support and enthusiasm from the punters and the repeated threats of closure. All part of the speedway business model.

Speedway On Tv And The Internet In 2025
Dave Jones replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
As far as I am aware Warner bros are selling some of their business , so i think TNT will disappear. I have a tv deal that includes TNT so if the transfer to HBO is going ahead next month I would expect to hear something official very soon. I'll let you know if I do😁 -

I would hope that anyone that has a tv package that includes TNT sport would be swapped to the new provider for the remaining period of their contract . -
Speedway deserves better than this, it’s a shambles and nobody can defend anyone involved
-
What makes it worse is that you tend to look forward to spring through winter, and associate it with the start of the speedway season...
-
Does Phil Lanning not have a lot to do with it. Hence why you get quite a lot of Glasgow related things on it.
-
Agreed you would think it would be a quick easy win get matches on in June, July and August when people can be outside to 9pm ish in jeans and t shirts but nope not happening.
-
You can't really have a behind closed doors signing-on night - they need members of the public to volunteer so, in theory, anyone could have gone if they wanted to. i'm completely fed up. There's more to life than wondering even if there will still be speedway, let alone who will be riding. No attempt at a publicity splash or big reveals will make the slightest bit of difference now.
-
well they are both going to destroy their own product.
-
I don't blame any fan who decides to walk away after this fiasco tbh. I've tried to remain as positive as I could on the topic this winter but I can fully understand where the majority of fans are coming from.

Hmm.....maybe it was a typo in the press release, perhaps they meant this year?....its only February!
-
Who knows anything at this point.

It did say an update would be given this week. I hope Mayfield do a better job at promoting the SGP series as they seem almost ashamed/embarrassed to be associated with the Witches!
