  2. I agree Glasgow are favourites, with the addition of Nagel it is going to be tough. Cant see Redcar putting up much of a fight tomorrow in the BSN so probably face them again in that too.
  3. Booze and tobacco companies sponsored many sports back in the day. The modern equivalent is now betting companies who appeal to a very wide demographic of customer and actually advertise their sporting markets with some very good visual & creative commercials that creates a wide awareness of the sport across multiple media channels The β€œBet 365 SuperLeague of Speedway” maybe? or slogans like Paddy Power is Speedway Power
  4. It was good to hear Will Cairns talk on tv during the meeting saying he hoped to do two leagues next year so it doesnt sound like there will be any change in league structure next season.
  5. They had better get the track sorted so you can pass on the outside then.... Dan will end up paying to get back in on some nights.... It would be a good move for him though, as it would definitely sharpen up his gating as you cannot be fourth into turn one at Foxhall and keep expecting to win like he does at the NSS... And he also can sometimes get passed on the inside at GP level, given he tends to ride mid track and wider, especially on the tighter tracks, so having to ride the white line more at Foxhall will also help his overall riding level grow...
  6. No class, you're just embarrassing yourself Lewy.🀣 Signing off for now, have a lovely classless day, cheerio Steve Lyric2, Skidder 1, Skidder 2, Dorset Pirate 99, CT2.πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‡
  7. All proper "working men" sponsors.... Who knew their target audience will all be in attendance... And Speedway was to the "working man" a "cheap night out" in relation to his disposable income... Many Aces fans would watch United or City then attend the Speedway in the evening .. You are looking at Β£150 and more, with admission costs, transport, food and drink, to do that now... And with mortgage costs, mobile contracts, satellite TV costs, gas/electric/water bills, car ownership costs, and all other "mod cons" that people have these days, that disposable income has shrank hugely... Getting someone (even a "regular" never mind a "newbie") to pay out circa Β£30, twice a month, to watch Speedway, which has no major financial reward nor public awareness, must be a massive challenge....

  10. Drew Kemp is an absolute waste of space. He has history of packing up at the back all the time and throwing his toys out of the pram. i remember there was some knob on here before who boasted about how much money he invested in Kemp. Where is he now to defend such pathetic behaviour? The sport is full of young lads thinking they are the dogs bollocks with their big vans etc but make wallys of themselves on live tv with such weak mentality. he comes across as dull as ditch water in interviews as well. fans pay their money to watch 15 heats of 4 riders trying their best and when you see repeat offenders like him taking the p""s then it needs calling out.

  12. Withdrawn from his last race, but already had 3rides so won’t get a ban.Maybe not fit too ride next week but he won’t be banned.
  13. Both Emil and Jason are to my mind BUT at 40 and late thirties they can’t go on forever!! huge fan of Dans regardless
  14. Agree,he shut the throttle and the bike took off, there was plenty of room left on the outside of the track when you see the head on picture Toby just got under him but he left him room.Poor attitude from Ace also making threats is a bit silly.
  15. Maybe start money needs to be reclassified as β€˜finish’ money!
  16. There's only one Poole PIRATES ☠️ one Poole PIRATES ☠️ Walking along singing a song Walking in a PIRATES ☠️ Wonderland πŸ†
  17. Nah, he likes the tea😜, actually told me he's on holiday 😁. I get your drift but sorry nobody can replace Emil 😩 Must add, Keynan rode like a goodun on Cam's bikes and Adam's kevlars.
  18. Lewy you wouldn't recognise class if it bit you on the ass! You see, I'm a poet and didn't know it. Enjoy your beers.πŸ€ͺ I'll carry on with my champers.
  19. When the home No1 can only muster 8pts from 5 rides and your No 5 can only score 6pts from 5 rides. Then it's inevitable that your not going to get much success, especially against such a good team as Poole.
  20. I wonder if Harry Redknapp can use his profile to get it back on SkySports?
  21. Oh yes wot a night POOLE PIRATES' ☠️ KO CUP WINNERS πŸ† 2025 C'MON THE BOYZZZ ☠️πŸ’ͺ
  22. Have to hand it to Poole - they are relentless. Lawson never looked like being beat, Kerr and Cook excellent as always and everyone else chipped in. Another frustrating night for the Bears - Pijper was excellent in his first two. Not seen the incident and did not have a great view but looked very much a racing incident to me. Pijper kept going round the outside when it didnt look like there was too much room - nasty looking spill though and glad he got up ok. Not sure if i would prefer we lost to Glasgow on Sunday so we don't have to face Poole again
