  1. Past hour
  2. Leicester couldn’t just give Birmingham a very last win. disgraceful 😜 good by brummies. It’s been a pleasure. Hope at some point you will be back
  3. I'm almost certain that Peter Schroeck is a social experiment to see how inept a team manager can be before they get sacked. How can he genuinely stand there - with a smile on his face I'll add - and say the riders need to pull their fingers out but there's not much he can do about that. It's quite amazing to watch as a neutral, probably not as fun for Oxford fans.
  4. Kvech cook klindt Harrison/scott should be back next season and maybe one of Harris/lawson/niels
  5. Sounds like somebody with an agenda to me.
  6. Regarding card payments at south gate, we have been complaining about that for 9 years, I really don't know why as they have a card machine on the south side track shop and south side food joint so it can be done. Hostile guards my arse, they very friendly, yes they do bag checks, we took a bag full of snack and soft drinks in no problem they checked, no patting down, even if they did I wouldn't be bothered happens at every football stadium. Food what else do you want, they have pies, chips, burgers, crisps, chocolate bars etc, I don't buy it myself but prices are normal stadium prices nothing to complain about. Programmes selling out can and does happen at every track, they estimate how many are attending each meeting but more came today, not much can do about that. It might have been your first time there but you go on like you have never seen a meeting at NSS in last 9 years and seen the fantastic racing. It was very warm and sunny, track conditions were nothing like it normally would be, they were watering every 2-3 heats but didn't want to flood it as the riders hate that. So yes the racing wasn't at the high NSS standards but saying that, there were several good races with passing, equal if not more then other tracks (especially Sheffield), in fact the highlight from Sheffield last week was Holder making a pass up inside in heat 6, he did that in heat 1 today. Water in toilets, again that is another thing we have been complaining about for 9 years, there seems to be a finite amount of water for some reason and sometimes it seems to run out, god knows why but do complain to the council about it.
  7. I liked the comment when he said the accumulative age of the three riders on the inside may add up to Bombers age. He's not in his sixty's
  8. Kelv is getting worse by the season.Every supporter knows 42 point from 11 heats means an away win.(unless they abandon the match)
  9. Agree. Unfortunately not a winning night for the Brummies and a sad night for UK speedway. Where does it go from here, who knows but Birmingham, thank you for your contribution to speedway in the UK over the years and the memories with the likes of Arthur Browning etc and many a good meeting at Rayleigh pre 73. Let’s hope someone somewhere can revive the sport in the Midlands.
  10. He waited till the last few seconds too come forward in that position though.Like I say too much faffing about. You could criticise the start marshal but he didn’t know where Tungate was eventually going to start from.
  11. Are you sure about that? Could say Belle Vue won't lose by as many at Sheffield in play offs. Each year Sheffield have often beaten us on aggregate in league but haven't beaten us playoffs yet.
  12. But he was forward and ready to start. The Marshall then told him he was too far over and made him move.
  13. What a night for Premiership Speedway! This must be the least competitive league I can ever remember in the UK! Embarrassing for a sport with a points limit in place to encourage equality
  14. Blimey Gavan get over it fella. Ipswich made the 2023 final due to Aces injury, If Wright hadn't got injured we'd have knocked you out in the semi. Aces won the league in 22 despite our number 1 being out injured and losing 2 riders in the 1st leg of the play offs final. Aces would have won the league in 2005 if KB didnt break his leg, we'd have most probably won in 2021 if Brady hadn't got injured. If, if, if.
  15. It is a shame that in the UK we do not have this conveyor belt of talent. I appreciate that in Poland the opportunities and track availability is different but surely the UK can harness talent if they make full use of the tracks available and if necessary impose second halves on all clubs so that youngster in the UK get track time. The youngster are competitive and the racing can often be better than a league match as they are riding for themselves and ride to win at all costs. You only have to watch some the heats today and heat 19 would be an example of giving everything to win. The sport has a future in the UK but it is going to take someone special to get round the intransigence of the current custodians of the sport.
  16. The bottom line is though he should have been at the tapes and found where he wanted start long before there was only seconds left on the clock.Too much faffing about riders watching the clock run down before they move forward.
  17. Yeah I was messing - on the Ipswich thread there was comments from BV and other fans not even there questioning the crowd! Unlike the self appointed ‘experts’ if people who were there say it was a big crowd that’s good enough for me! good to see decent crowds at a couple of venues - Oxford doesn’t seem too busy tonight
  18. How about Klindt writing "must turn up to ride for Plymouth at some point" in his log book? 😂😂
  19. ... the neutral Start Marshal, with his Oxford cap on and an Oxford logo on the back of his onesie 😀
