  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, but the reason it's like that is that the people who make the rules only think as far as the end of their nose, not the possible implications because I bet they didn't even realise the point you're making!
  3. Same here about Jimmy Savile, I worked with somebody that used to work for the police and she said they knew about Savile, that was in the year 2000 she told me that and he wasn't outed until 2012 Anyway back to the Speedway
  4. We're that good we're in a league of our own! 🙂
  5. You don’t like follow the leader races? When Dan T beat Kurtz was that not a good race to watch? When Doyle cleverly kept Kurtz behind him was that not a good race either? Or do they only become good races if Kurtz would have got through? Heat 14 was a case in point with Zach getting through on the last corner … wasn’t a good race until the last corner but need you will be saying it was a better race than the superheat…. You don’t always need overtaking to make a good race
  6. nasty subject but i knew someone who had alerted the authorities about old Rolf long before it came out what the dirty old sod had been up to! anyway back to the speedway.
  7. Draw for 3rd round 1 Wozniak 2 Kowalski 3 Dudek 4 Buczkowski 5 Karczewski 6 Kubera 7 Miskowiak 8 Przedpelski 9 Przyjemski 10 Janowski 11 Zmarzlik 12 Prem Pawlicki 13 Woryna 14 Piotr Pawlicki 15 Cierniak 16 Krawczyk
  8. Also onr of those over 7 was inflated at reserve and then injured giving much better ongoing returns........
  9. I use to live near Stuart and a few years ago my ex organised him to attend an It’s a knockout event, at her school! A while after a friend of hers bought her a lovely painting of some giraffes. I came home, admired the picture then noticed the artists signature. It was Rolf Harris! Like I say she’s my ex so I dodged the conversation when asking how the kids are, “They’re fine, Gary Glitter has taken them to the Jimmy Salville appreciation society where Rolf Harris is doing portraits.”
  10. Then these new people would love the super heat and not give a Sh!t whether either team gets 0 1 or 2 points and so at least give the scoring the sporting integrity the die hards care about (or should care about anyway) The 2 are not mutually exclusive....
  11. Tbf Leon flint was announced on Friday as guest at the track
  12. it would but by logic extension the home top rider would also have an advantage in a single winner takes all etc lets put it this way Belle Vue reserves might have struggled the other night! yes I did used to like / enjoy those one lap dashes
  13. I can't see Ford helping anyone out tbh. But if there is one league, we will have Poole in it i guess.
  14. That would unfairly amplify the home advantage imo. 1 lap dashes are a great concept as almost completely at most tracks the other three laps are redundant.
  15. There's also a post from Dan Gilks saying he needs an operation on his knee and won't be back this season.
  16. The make up of the Teams from match to match these days think that’s what the riders are doing.
  17. I tell you what I would like to see in say a cup final rather than asuper heat etc - would be a 1-7 ride off against each opposite number - so an extra 7 races with the result being award as 1-0 per race - rather than just a sudden one race winner takes all that way its a fairer representation of the teams, perhaps even just do 1 lap like the old one lap dashes from the late 80s they had in the 2nd halves! ok you can all say its a cr@p idea now!
  18. Depends on the meeting. For more years than I care to remember the governing body have been lenient when riders are chasing world championship individual glory, often making use of the column inches that follow with the true grit stories. The fans also rally around such riders. If he was to ride in a foreign league, completes that fixture and does not aggravate his injuries then action should quite rightly be taken. I hope he returns, especially if we end up against them in the play offs as two fit teams would be a great spectacle as our A fixtures demonstrated.
  19. Oh, bore off😆 it's just a sporting event not life or death. I'm being light hearted here by the way but in any event, speedway needs to make itself a bigger draw and increase viral chatter and spectacle because the racing itself doesn't do it I'm afraid.
