Speedway has always used the motto No brakes no gears no fear,,, it's not working, so let's change it up,, add some brakes, add some gears and add some fear,, change the engines to 1000cc, let's make it more dangerous and faster with more chance of serious injury or worse. Quickest way to make speedway popular again is by somehow adding a ball,, people love ball sports. Football, Rugby, Golf, Tennis, Basketball, Handball, Netball, Snooker and so on,, all more popular. Each lap the riders try and kick a ball into the goal or hole or hoop, or over the net,,, simples

The plan was to have 2027 completed well in advance.... July would be "well in advance"... They are running an operating model simply unfit for any purpose other than giving riders a chance to earn a living riding Speedway... Two leagues being ran of similar inconsequence.. "Any Speedway" being put out, devoid of any jeopardy, consequence, or credibility... And all done on nights to suit riders but not necessarily the fans.... In 1976 you would walk into Woolworths on a Saturday morning, and it was heaving, with people of all ages, as kids even went there to buy records and pick n mix.. In 2006 you would walk into Woolworths on a Saturday morning and it was empty apart from a customer base of a sparse number of 50+ somethings.. But the stores, and their operating model, stil looked like it was back in 1976... UK Speedway is Woolworths... Decades of zero plans to move the business forwards due to the lack of skill set of those running it, and a reliance on doing the same thing every year, and hoping an ever dwindling, and ageing, customer base would suddenly, one day, wake up and decide to return.. They didn't in Woolworths case, and they won't for UK Speedway... It needs proper, radical change...

Fully expected this result Belle Vue have built their team to win well at home like any team would They have riders like Blodorn Tate and Cook and to a lesser extent Kildemand who don’t go well away If those 4 can up their game away from home Belle Vue should win the league However over 2 legs I would fancy Sheffield more as they have riders in the Holder brothers and Pickering who go well at Belle Vue and can keep the away leg to 10 or so

Should just stop riders being affiliated to teams now. Every rider should be unattached and put into a pot every weekend and teams drawn for the following week’s fixtures should take place. You get who you get then. Would certainly add variety and there would be some uneven contests definitely. But then last night’s aces v Leicester was in the current rules . Would be different and more exciting than the current garbage rules of guests. Okay I’m joking….. 🤔
