  3. How convenient, however the cynic in me thinks the Poole promotion realizing Redcar have a meeting at Oxford the next day thought... wait a minute... "how can we swing the odds in our favour". What if Redcar had an injured rider or two. As I said it's me being cynical, they wouldn't possibly hope for that.. Would they
  4. Exactly .Early call off will become the norm these days, can’t blame them really, all these moaners are sitting in the house with no intention of going to the match anyway.Anybody intending going won’t mind especially fans with distance to travel.Riders attitude nowadays can’t guarantee they will ride on wet track or if there is drizzle.
  5. I can see the lead being overturned within six heats, home 4-2 in heat 1 and a 5-1 in heat two and its going to be a long night for us.
  6. Which demonstrates that price is a red herring when people talk about what to do to attract more people to watch the sport live.
  7. Met office is usually the most reliable in my view so understandably believed that one.
  8. I spent 5 days in Poland last month and never needed cash at all - just get a travel friendly debit card like Starling or Revolut and you'll be good to go. Rico
  9. I like the concept of Northampton becoming a speedway track but looking at a map its hard to see where a "local" crowd will come from. I think its pie in the sky to expect Peterborough and Coventry fans to make an 80 mile round trip for home meetings. Depending on where a Peterborough fan lives Kings Lynn or Leicester could be closer. I hope Northampton does become an active speedway venue I just hope they have been realistic with a business plan.
  10. Was interesting to hear Bewley on TNT publicly say how much he enjoys riding Foxhall despite not doing particularly well here. He’s said the same over the tannoy at Foxhall in the past, but I just put that down to the fact he was being interviewed in front of a big Ipswich crowd and saying all the right things. He’ll soon be hitting the big scores here when he rides it most weeks next year. 😁
  11. Taking their line up this season it wasnt beyond the realms of possibility without the injuries and long layoff for Cook, many were saying pre season they were the dark horses, we still only finished a couple of wins above them, it could have been another Peterborough, i dont think they would have won the play off but when you look how they started to get their form together towards the end of the season especially at home and their performance at our place just losing out in heat 15 it could easily have been a close call. Its hypothetical and just about opinions anyway.
  12. Today
  13. He also said the weather forecast they had said rain from 5pm, which would mean they looked at the met office one? As that was the only one that had rain that early.
  14. Redcar fans must be out of order if he has broken his 'i don't post or read anything on SM' stance. Deluded. If we wanted the second leg we would have had it. If we wanted second leg we would have had it. Also there is no point having second leg in SF, yes in the final. But 1st leg is better in SF.
  15. Using dynamic pricing it woukd go down - so don't expect British Speedway to use that.
  16. Obviously the standard in Germany and longtrack u23 is very poor, maybe you should have kept Vuolas.
  17. And loads are called off because of a bad forecast. If Poole wanted the second leg why arrange to have the first leg.
  18. What i mean is calling a meeting off just because it " might " rain later on in the late evening. Quite obvious Poole wanted the second leg at home to see what they needed to score, Redcar should apply the same as i sure they would prefer the second leg. Very silly comment to say as far as your aware! Loads of meetings are called off per season but just seemed too coincidental that Poole was a preempted .
  19. Dont see why Nick Morris wouldnt be available whenever they want him to guest.
  20. one is German champion, one is last years under 23 world long track champion, and one is errrrr Australian, its amazing what useless people can do these days. 🤣
  21. Maybe Bears 'fans' should read Gavin Parr's comments on FB agreeing with the decision to call it off early. It saved the cost of an overnight hotel for the team south of Oxford which he was able to cancel as riders hadn't started to travel!!
  22. I heard the rain is going to make the track Gnarly 😉
  23. Some absolutely crazy comments on here. Fact is Danny is not overly bothered about having the 2nd leg. Everything was in place to run yesterday, BSN had set off and were well on their way when things all went on hold. Forecasts weren't good so decision was made. This decision had to be made before midday otherwise costs soar. Having witnessed the rain we did have, maybe the meeting could have been finished before the heavens opened.
