  2. I'm sure everyone enjoyed watching Nagel when he was actually here (I certainly did). Just as I'm sure that no one particularly enjoyed watching Hook, Lambert, MPT, or Thomsen scoring hee haw between them in his absence. The difference between having and not having Nagel was huge (ignore the play off semi when he clearly wasn't fit). Too big. I'm confused by your argument about how few fixture clashes there were when we signed him, cause there were plenty when it actually came to racing. So saying we could avoid clashes next year doesn't make sense because we thought we had done that this year. His other fixtures will take priority over Tigers matches, and a rider as good, and as exciting, as Nagel will be in high demand in Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, U19, U21, U23 and the other international events that the big guns swerve like euro pairs etc. I would love to see him race regularly in the UK, and for the Tigers in particular but with so many commitments abroad, that take precedence over Tigers matches, I cannot see Glasgow resigning him. It's a pity cause he is exciting to watch, he would up his average and he is a future superstar but I would not sign him unless he cuts down on other commitments (although I suspect that the UK is most likely where he will cut back). If he does come back then I'll look forward to watching him race, but in reality I can't see it happening.
  3. Can see Kvech, Harris, Klindt and Cook returning. Lambert and Rushen would be great, maybe Jody if Rushen doesnt want Prem yet. Then somebody fresh and exciting from the SGP2 stable at 6. If no Lambert as is likely then probably a solid team again, however the departure of Lawson suggests something might be in the pipeline at number one.
  4. Have you not read Matt Ford in the Speedway Star last week?
  5. Met office forecast changes every time you check it. It's like they don't know when it's going to rain. Accuweather has rain from 8pm but only 50% chance. Glad I don't have to make the decision!
  6. Serious question - I thought Buster had had enough and was packing it all in??
  7. Voulas is a big NO for me hasn’t got any better and very poor away from home. I think the priority is having a good number 1
  8. Depends on the interpretation. More than one could be taken as anything from 366 days to 2 years. As Tai didn't ride in the British leagues due to injury from the end of June 2024, so that is "more than 1 full season" as a season can't be longer than 12 months and by the time 2026 starts it will be about 21 months since he last rode in the UK.
  9. Well thats a load of crap. Why don't Ipswich get the same crowd at every home meeting that they did for the playoff final then?
  10. Spot on apart from "if" one team gets tailed off, as it is "when"... Every season the team everyone on here says have "no chance" before a wheel is turned, invariably have their season over by the end of May and become a team with small appeal to watch either home or away... The biggest frustration for the fans is that where we are today has been predicted by us for the last two decades... As we could see the glaring obvious flaws in "Baldrick's cunning plan", yet those insulated within their own echo chamber/Speedway Bubble either couldn't, or chose not to... There should have been radical change to the operating model when the GP's started to impact UK Speedway. And they chose to not to do anything different.. There should have been radical change to the operating model when Poland started to impact UK Speedway. And they chose not to do anything different... There should have been radical change to the operating model for the return of the sport post Covid, when a year out gave them huge opportunity to reset the sport, and unpick all the nonsense that has held the sport back over the years, and disillusioned so many fans, who still follow the sport but attend either never or infrequently. And they chose not to do anything different.. Many of the same people who have led two decades of negative fan attendance, plus reduced TV viewership and media profile, are still running the sport... The sport desperately needs outside influence to drive it forward, from marketing, to adminstration, to operating model planning... People not within the Speedway Bubble.. The past two seasons of the play offs, in the flagship competition, have actually been ran by NOT following the very rules the competition was set up with, which from an outside optics view, is both amateurish and ludicrous... The sport won't move forwards until the promoters realise that they are the custodians of all of it, and not just their own clubs, and also realise that they may not have the right set of skills to lead it, and be open to get some clear direction from people who do possess those leadership skills...
  11. Absolute bullrubbish! from the mid-eighties to 1999 Poole had one of the sports wealthiest owners in the late Mervyn Stewkesbury, together with an experienced back-up team including the old National League Administrators. The Fords took over in 1999 and spent 20years in the Premiership (Elite) winning it several times over, much to the chagrin of some of the more established owners/promoters. Of course crowds dropped a little when the team wasn't doing well - as is the case with ALL teams. PS> There's nothing wrong with being at the top of any sport - as long as the club remains profitable.
  12. 2,5% discount applies to all Brits for team building purposes except those on 2.00.
  13. This is still going on Poole set up their track to win matches …. It’s boring it’s tedious and it’s not exactly speedway … they signed a team of primarily gaters and no real racers so they aren’t going to make the track for a racer The thing is as most speedway fans of a certain age know is that Poole fans only want to win … good ethos maybe … but if the Poole team had 7 racers and great home meetings then the fans would stay away if the team was only 4th or 5th … many times over the years Poole was close to closing especially in the 80’s when they weren’t winning …. Very very fickle fans Of course it’s nice to win the league but every Ipswich fan would still go to watch Doyle and Emil even if we wasn’t at the top … Poole fans are different always have been
  14. Who do you want to see line-up for the Tigers in 2026?
  15. Who do you want to see line-up for the Lions in 2026?
  16. Who do you want to see line-up for the Stars in 2026?
  17. Premier Sports have an estimated 300k subscribers, can't see that helping to grow the sport. Sky by comparison had 6m from the last figures I can find, and 26.7m people watched content across all their platforms in the last year. One of the worst things about TNT's coverage is that a big deal was made about it including the free-to-air highlights, only for them to be shown once a week at 2am or something ridiculous. I doubt that it attracted even a single new fan.
  18. Who do you want to see line-up for the Witches in 2026?
  19. As someone who never watches the aces and have no real feeling towards either rider. Brady Kurtz over Dan Bewley. I just think he's better.
  20. Nothing to do with his own teams defensive frailities and missed chances then 🤣
  21. Who do you want to see line-up for the Aces in 2026?
  22. Today
  23. Same could be said about the crowd at Leicester and Ipswich . I watched league meetings on TNT from Leicester during the season and I'd be surprised if there were 500 there. The playoffs and final probably helped financially save their season. We were at Ashfield friday and have supported semi finals and finals also at Redcar, this is in addition to paying for a BSN Championship Play Off pass. The reasons we made the effort to attend instead of sitting in front of the tv include an awareness that more than ever speedway needs supporting, you do not get the atmosphere on tv and the prospect of exciting racing, which is more likely at both of these tracks especially as riders tend to give more in such circumstances.
