When Dan T discussed points money on his Vlog, there wasn't too much difference from being a No1 in the Championship to being a RS in the top league... The figures he quoted means as a second string in tier one, he must be on a fair few quid more than in the Championship... However, naturally, points will be easier to come by in the Championship... If a TV deal gets signed, I can see "engine room" riders being given decent "guarantees" to ride in the top tier, if they get a place in Poland ..

Depends what rider's want. Even if they sign in Poland, they may still prefer the Championship over the Premiership due to the number of fixtures and weekend fixtures if they're not picked by their Polish club. The Premiership won't get it all their own way for sure.

Brennan really shouldn't have signed for Bydgoszcz with the team they had tbh. When it comes to young Brits in Poland, They should sign for the teams with the weakest line-ups as it'll increase the chances of starts.

No that's in the past, I'm just saying that the script has been flipped now due to the Polish ruling and it's quite ironic considering what happend last winter.

He’s already explained this and it’s exactly the same reason why Doyle eventually gave up waiting also! He/They simply couldn’t wait any longer so planned their season elsewhere. Mayfield didn’t buy Ipswich officially until end of February and they couldn’t offer contracts to riders until the ink was dry on a contract themselves.

Even riders like McDiarmid and Cairns are currently riding in the Ekstraliga. Going to be a drastically weaker product next season.

I do get your sentiments, as the tail has wagged the dog for far, far too long . However, it won't be as simplistic as that, as several riders will need to decide if that big up front payment in Poland is worth it as there may be not too any earning opportunities.. Dan T, and Tom B both took the big signing on fee and then didn't get much opportunity to earn on track... These level of riders will need to decide if they want to "stick or twist", as they do struggle when in Poland, and Poland don't give you a "job for life" like the UK does to riders better than average, instead, you get replaced .. Undoubtedly though there is a huge opportunity for the sport in the UK given Poland's rules, should those who run it a) see the potential, and b actually have the capability to deliver it . Personally, given their track record, I have to say I have my doubts. But. Hope springs eternal...

Really don't want to be negative as i really hope the venture succeeds however a big question hangs over what level of racing the new consortium are planning? NL is far from in a healthy place, few teams spread out across the country. CL is bloated as it stands with heat leaders hard to find and favoured race nights restricted PL requires a hefty budget to even be remotely competitive and with potential attendance figures unknown..... Ive attended plenty of very enjoyable and entertaining matches at Arlington over the years and really hope to see some more its just a little hard to get excited when success stories are so few and far between.

The exposure and viewing figures could possibly be less than BSN so not worth it as most sports fans will likely have a Sky sports and possibly TNT subscription but will not pay out an extra £10-17 a month for Premier sports. In fact back in June it was found at times there was a lot more people watching for free streaming on firestick and such like that than there was using official services

I don't understand what you are basing these wild claims on. Pickering will be off come what may (he only signed for Scunny because he priced himself out of a place in Poland) Zack Cook will drop the Championship as part of his natural progression like dozens of other riders have done before ( e.g. Ben Cook, Tom Brennan) Dan Thompson has a real decision to make: does he want to watch speedway in Lodz or ride speedway in Edinburgh? If the latter as Lisa suggests then we haven't lost him. Masters/Lawson/Flint/Jeppesen/Wright etc ride in tier 3 so are not affected I hardly think King, Batchelor and Harris et al are going to resume their Polish careers Nor do I see the likes of Etheridge, Edwards or Sedgmen attracting Ekstraliga interest. So the sum total of riders at risk appears to be: Anders Rowe (and possibly Dan Thompson). Isn't the bigger risk that riders may drop the Premiership to protect Swedish or Danish contracts?

We should be supporting all clubs at this time not wishing that the championship is "finished". Poole and Glasgow didn't move up quite rightly because the 2 clubs who has done it the year before it had gone very badly for. When we get a Premiership that is attractive enough that teams want to move up they will. This could happen in 2027 but most likely if clubs see 2027 as a success they will move up in 2028. Poole and Glasgow are great clubs but they need to survive themselves. If both had been forced to go up last year and then gone bust we would be in a much worse position now.
