It shows how weak the league has become. Year upon year, 2nd strings become heat leaders, reserves become 2nd strings, and 3rd division riders become reserves in the 2nd. And next season will be the same. Everything watered down, except the admission prices! - Yesterday

If all the heats finished in that order, after 16 heats scores would be: Australia 37 Brady Kurtz 12 Max Fricke 10 Rohan Tungate 9 Ryan Douglas 6 Denmark 27 Leon Madsen 10 Mikkel Michelsen 7 Frederik Jakobsen 7 Michael J Jensen 3 Poland 17 Bartosz Zmarzlik 9 Maciej Janowski 3 Dominik Kubera 3 Patryk Dudek 2 Great Britain 16 Robert Lambert 11 Charles Wright 5 Adam Ellis 0 Leon Flint 0 * counting 4 fastest riders per team

A paid maximum for Jenkins and a full maximum for MPT sums up that performance in a nutshell. Embarrassing. -

That would depend on whether the "one over the eight rule" is still a go-er for 2027, as, currently Wright is on 8.90 and Klindt is 8.81. IF the one over the eight rule stays, you can't have both.

Fair play to Palm Toft very impressive this evening. Although you have to wonder can he do it on a cold wet night in Glasgow or Poole in the playoffs? -
Having just been on the Glasgow thread, it seems me saying Edinburgh could be your opponent, was wrong. 2nd and 3rd play each other, which means likely you'll have Scunthorpe, which I imagine will be a tougher draw.

Thank you

Thank you

You've been unlucky, with Howarth pulling out. You had a trio of heat leaders who, imo, were a match for anyone. Now that you have had to rely on guests, it has put the rest of the team under the cosh, and quite frankly, they haven't been up to the job. Juhl Pedersen has been a disappointment; Hagon and Hausl have been a disaster. Hodder has improved a little. Yet you still Finished second! So its not all been a complete failure. As you say, ( you've limped over line), but on Edinburgh's showing at Scunthorpe tonight, that must give you hope of making the final. Thats of course if you go on and meet the Monarchs in the semi-final
-
No, Poole will get the 4th place in semis and 2nd and 3rd are in the other
-
No, only thing you get for finishing top is you choose which leg you have at home. 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd. 4th place looking like Edinburgh unless they decide to win at Berwick.
-
Superb display from Klindt and Scott ( who just keeps getting better) supported by Edwards and Allan, too little too late in terms of the play offs but building the side next season around Wright, Klindt and Scott is a must.

Do Poole as top of the league, get to pick their opponent?

Workington v Redcar 29/08/26 3 pm Championship.
Neila replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well it won't be the 5th as Redcar away at Berwick or the 12th as it's the riders championship, my guess is one of the Sundays following these meetings, but that depends on which riders have polish commitments -
The shock of the meeting was the announcement from Jamie Swales that he is stepping down as Promoter at the end of the season. Also an excellent 2 minute silence for the 2 Police officers tragically killed last week. Well done Redcar Speedway

Very Poor management of the Tigers made it an easier match for the Bears. Blindingly obvious that Battye needed to replace Hagon in heat 11, but Hodder comes in in heat 8 and therefore Hagon has to stay in 11 Battye scores 5 from 2 finishes, plus a fall when miles ahead and doesn't get any extra rides π² should have been in 12 Thanks Cami from all the Bears fans π -
Scunthorpe Vs Edinburgh 28/8/26
Albert replied to Fozzie4388's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Much easier than expected, honestly thought Edinburgh would run us close tonight. Written off at start of the season, but play-offs secured. Whatever happens, it's been a great year, thoroughly entertaining. -
Yes, it seems, looking at the updates, Battye won his 1st. He was leading till the last bend in his 2nd ride, another 2nd in h8, so you would have thought he would have taken Hodder's ride in h12. Very strange decision by Brown.

We cant replace anyone, guests for the rest of the season
