  1. Today
  2. I went aswell and it really is an entertaining and enjoyable show, it’s non stop and the 3 hours go so quickly. Thought Dan was playing quite it safe when he had other riders around him but put in a good performance in his second ride.
  3. Just got back from the Arenacross at the NEC Birmingham and thought it worth mentioning a couple of things. Firstly Dan Bewley is a respectable motocross rider, it was only in the whoops which are Supercross specific really that he was losing time in a decent Pro-AM class. Secondly the presentation compared to even the Cardiff GP was so much better. 3 good presenters who ramped up the crowd and kept the interest going between races, probably all a bit shouty for an old bloke like me but the youngsters lapped it up and sport needs the likes of them more than the likes of me for the future. Lots of flashing lights, loud music and freestyle MX/ girls dancing with fire and a guy chucking free kids T shirts randomly into the crowd all accompanied with encouragement for the crowd to make a lot of noise and be involved between races and while the track was graded. (Graded incidentally by the son of Ace of Aces Promoter Ian Barclay) All in all despite decent rather than great racing we came away having had a great time and Speedway could take some lessons from the Promoters of this series. Might not be practical for every meeting but a lot of what they did could be applied to the bigger events and most certainly the GPs.
  4. His last average riding for Kings Lynn 2023 was 7:81. Would he be given a 2.5% UK reduction is up for debate.
  5. Not sure how they’ve exactly worked that out, ultimately time will tell what his average is
  6. Yesterday
  7. Going off his Aussie rides probably about at 5/6 pointer at most in the NDL.
  8. 3 very strong heat leaders and it’ll be interesting to see how Sadler gets on.
  9. Well the side has been announced and there’s quite a few surprises. Both Pijper’s were expected but not Ablitt. Then throw in the ‘retired ‘ Trigger ! Add an unknown Aussie in Sadler ( he must be part British ? ) Didnt expect Southwick to be back but he’s a catch. Ward slightly surprising as I thought he’d prefer a more southern track . Not sure how they’ll line up think it will be Sadler and Ward at reserve which is a gamble, an unknown quantity and Ward blows hot and cold. Slightly disappointed all the local boys have gone and thought Halder was worth a team place all day long. The way this league has been changed means it’s no longer a development league and so this is what you get with experienced riders getting places and the odd non brit. Still, its a team and not a bad one on paper.
  10. Nope I said others had suggested that on the Facebook page 🤔
  11. Come on, they're going to do something very special for the 500cc winner...doubtless including a nice sweetener to ride for Glasgow (if they're half decent). In the Glasgow sponsored Championship no less.
  12. What would Robert Lambert’s average be out of interest?
  13. Thought you said jack schmelt has signed this morning, make yer mind up 😛
  14. This is a big gamble both for the club and rider, I've no idea what the club have seen in him to give him a Championship place, he is not ready to be in the Championship and I see no past form to back it up. This could knock him back as a rider, there are many NDL riders who have shown more than him. I presume Viv Muddle can not have any parentage to be a 2 pointer because thats who i thought they were going to go with.
  15. Tough gig for young Jamie riding Championship but I wish him well. Looks almost too young on that social media signing video 😃. Could put a bit more pressure on Vinnie but that's the cost of a potential strong top 5.
  16. Needs to complete 6 applicable meetings to get a proper average.
  17. What difference does it make? If they name the No.1 a week before the first fixture, or if they named him last November, none of the team are going to be riding until the first meeting at the end of March. It's going to be the same 7 riders regardless of whether they were declared yesterday or tomorrow. In any case, we all know who it is. My guess is that since he lives in the UK for the majority of the year, they are perhaps waiting for him to be free to hold a social night with him (just a guess). Who exactly are you defying if you pick and choose meetings? It's the same team and same meeting regardless of whether you are there or not. Just sounds like cutting your nose off because you had a hissy fit months previously. Similar with the new Ipswich owners. If they are making sure they have all their ducks in a row before revealing a full team, then good on them. Name the team last week or name the team next week, you're not going to see them race until the end of March, so it makes sense to make sure everything is perfect for March.
  18. If they were really interested in showing the way they’d put a NDL team together instead of using this to cherry pick riders out of it for themselves.
  19. That would be the logical move Mike to try and help them maybe thats why Kurtz is being delayed, I just hope they don't get stuck with someone 5-10 years past their sell by date who stiffs the owners for ten's of thousands and delivers near zero.
  20. Would be a great signing if they could get him, if you can't have Emil he is probably as good a replacement as you could hope for.
  21. That all goes out the window when you’re offered enough $$$$ Think it would actually do him the world of good personally. Looked to go backwards a little last year and could do with being sharpened up.
  22. Was this a case of natrual depreciation or a reassessed average?
  23. Mitchell cluff came in on a 5 and dropped to a 3 last season .
