  2. And to be brutally honest, he's probably looking at where the sport sits and thinking, "do i really want to get involved with that again?" Does sometimes feel like "don't worry about it, these mugs will come whatever we serve up". Out of interest, as someone who no longer reads the speedway star, how are they reporting on this? Are they being critical or are they just pretending everything is ok like they did with the Coventry and Peterborough fiasco in 2011?
  3. I don't understand your problem. Ipswich Speedway Promotions Ltd is the company that holds the promotion rights to Ipswich Witches. Chris Louis is the sole shareholder. Chris Louis didn't want to continue, so his options were to pull out altogether (and have a near enough worthless company) or sell the company's main asset (the licence) to someone else. He chose the latter, and agreed to sell the club. Businesses change hands all the time. I might win the Euromillions this week and offer Buster a million quid for King's Lynn. I buy the club and its licence, and things carry on, just with a new owner.
  4. So ISPL "made a commitment" to run, even though its proprietor had apparently said previously that he was walking away from involvement in the sport with immediate effect? And BSPL incorporated that "commitment" into their statement that a minimum 5 team league would happen? Really?

  6. Apologies... Thought you were comparing this years potential Ipswich to last years Lions... Ipswich and Leicester, this year, could be of a similar level.... Who cares? Will be the sports biggest challenge.
  7. But Leicester now dont have fricke. I'm comparing the rumoured '26 ipswich team to the confirmed 26 Leicester team with dougy at 1
  8. It looks like a very competitive Championship this year.Oxford look the best on paper to me.The rest could be anywhere in the League although Scunny will need some changes.Monarchs and Workington (Cook dependant) look the dark horses.Should see some shocks .IMO
  9. Fricke was a race winner, and top of the averages.. You cannot then lose race points when he wins.. The possible Ipswich team won't be winning too many Heats One, Thirteen and Fifteen, I would think given the one and fives for the other teams... That could easily be an eight point swing as a minimum..
  10. This rumoured 1-7 with lawson and jeppesen i dont see as any worse than Leicester built the same way?
  11. This is a LOCAL forum for LOCAL people... We'll have no shouting in here.... Are you local? Edmund! There is a Swansea!!!... Lines and Lines and Lines... Etc, etc, etc..
  12. Mayfield haven't tried hard enough when it comes to Team Building imo, They could've put out a much better 1-7 than rumoured but the vast majority of the blame lies with Chris Louis for leaving the Club playing catch up.
  13. Why are you sending me strange messages? funnily enough I’ve had similar messages from another user before 🤔
  14. I truly cannot believe the negativity on here .. It is almost like people are not taking into consideration the innovative, successful, marketing genius of those who have run the sport for the past 15 years plus....
  15. I hope so... for everybody's sake🙏
  16. Don’t worry Iain they have a cunning plan and are just lulling everyone in to a false sense of security! The cavalry will arrive in the Summer 🤪
  17. Yes, King Edwards just about sums that team up🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔 😂
  18. It’s Brennan, Lawson, Musielak, Nicholls, King, Edwards and one other. Those are “signed” but we don’t know whether they were signed on the provision that Thorssell was also signing and if that’s now not happening, whether that will cause them to have a rethink. My guess is probably not but we’ll see.
  19. End of Feb and the top tier of British Speedway still hasn't confirmed how many teams will be running. Final nail in the coffin.
  20. Comets press and practice day announced for Sunday 29th march 11.30 UTC 😀🔵⚪🏁
  21. So that is the deffo six mentioned is it? Beings you said waiting to hear the final rider.
  22. Doesn’t need to be does it? You don’t need to be Nostradamus to predict where this prospective team finishes. It currently finishes bottom of the five. Everyone can see it, just like everyone could see Birmingham and Oxford would be finishing at the bottom last year. The one caveat, is nothing has been confirmed team wise and we await to see who the final rider is,,
  23. Champs to chumps in the blink of an eye. Quite an amazing turnaround really.
