  1. Past hour
  2. Andrew basically confirmed in the live YouTube interview he did last night that one of the final 2 riders would be from outside UK speedway. Can only assume that this will be a 5.00 or 4.00 rider
  3. Proves that Mark Lemon won't let Kurtz or Bewley go unless forced into it by a One Rider Over 8.00 Rule. Defo the weakest rumoured Team on paper so far.
  4. I don't think there is that many excited, but just glad they still have speedway to watch. 2027 is where I'm sure it will all dramatically have to change due to Polands alleged one team rule change
  5. How can anyone be getting excited for a 5 team league is beyond me
  6. I'm just guessing. Personally I don't think we even need another competition considering we'd already be facing the same Teams enough times as it is.
  7. So, who did Louis sell Ipswich for a £1 too then?
  8. Oh,, nothing ground breaking new then. It's about time something different was tried
  9. Ride for us this year and I’ll get you back in the GP series next year? Interesting theory and entirely plausible. Guess we’ll soon find out how ambitious they are, and whether they have any immediate influence. Finance shouldn’t be an issue.
  10. I've noticed for some considerable time now when posting a reply it takes an age to post, I am on desktop browser not sure if it's the same for phone users.
  11. But as gets said on many threads, as an away rider you are up against track specialists. When he guested in 2024 he scored a paid maximum 10+2 at number 2. Only beaten twice by Jack Holder.
  12. We can talk and talk till we're blue in the face haven't we done this every year, a totally independent person to chair this shower is the only way and it won't happen.
  13. Assuming they run somewhere who are Northampton going to end up with as a number one I did wonder if Lemon might sacrifice Kurtz for the bigger picture, but if not its looking like Brum 2025 best case for Northampton assuming they run somewhere.
  14. If Northampton run then you do a 2 Group Split of 3 Teams. A - Belle Vue, Northampton and Sheffield B - Ipswich, King's Lynn and Leicester. 1 x H & A against each team in the Group with both Group Winners advancing to contest the Final.
  15. It’s hard to contain my excitement. The title is over.
  16. I hope so speedy. It’s great that we’re still running and the loyal fans will still have their speedway on a Thursday don’t get me wrong, but it’ll still need to be an attractive side to entice the fence sitters (I consider myself one of those) to attend regularly again instead of picking the odd meeting here and there. It’s already a less appealing league than it was even last year due to losing two clubs and a reduced team limit, so it’s gonna need a star man at the top of the team to prevent a big drop off in attendance IMO. There’s likely to be a drop off regardless due to the reasons I’ve said, plus losing two hugely popular riders in Emil and Doyle so it’s a damage limitation job to try and prevent the drop off from being too severe.
  17. Looking at Belle Vue's and Leicester's rumoured 1-7. You can certainly make a case for Ipswich to run without a proper No.1. Leicester are onto something with their team building imo where they don't have an out and out No.1 but they've got a proven Heat Leader at No.1 who's being backed up in every department of the team. Could very well be the way to go in a weakend Premiership.
  18. Would Mikkelsen come in on a 7.50 (same as MJJ last year) since he's not in the GPs anymore. Would be a bargain average.
  19. If it's Mayfield sports taking over though Aries, that would be attractive to riders who want to be in, or back in, the GPs.
  20. Almost signed him to replace Doyle in 2024. Can’t see it now though and I think it’s going to have to be a totally different strategy to the one we’re used to seeing in recent years.
  21. And what would that series look like? Hopefully not another boring straight knockout
  22. It's a weird one because on Tom's last 4 visits to Sheffield as an Away Rider, He's failed to score more than 5 Points.
  23. So, 1. Brady Kurtz 2. Norick Blodorn 3. Zach Cook 4. Peter Kildemand 5. Dan Bewley 6. Tate Zischke 7. Will Cairns
