  2. Almost every contributor on here can see the problems looming for the sport but those in charge of its destiny are not doing too much to keep the fan base onside and give some ideas as to how things might change. An announcement following the AGM then radio silence. No provisional fixture list, no details of the new competition, no more news about the mystery 6th club and none of this can help riders, sponsors etc. plan for the coming season and it must have a negative impact on season ticket sales. With the lack of clarity is any wonder some supporters are disillusioned with the sport and riders have opted to ply their trade elsewhere. You would have thought that some press releases would have been forthcoming even it was only to update of progress or otherwise of changes which may at least placate some of the doubters. The BSPL really have not got a clue when it comes to taking care of the fan base. If they are unsure as to what to do might I suggest they take a look at Poland, Sweden and Denmark all of whom are way ahead of the UK.
  3. No I don't, It's a public forum and I'm entitled to post an opinion. 1 Year ago fans were on here, X, Facebook etc. all taking the pish out of Oxford for signing Kildemand so I don't buy into the fact that Belle Vue fans are happy to sign the same Ageing Injury Prone Rider on a highly inflated GSA due to him taking 5-7 Rides a night at reserve when they were expecting a Young and Exciting Talent like Hellstrom-Bangs on a 5.00 Assessed GSA. I'm delighted that you've kept Kurtz and Bewley because it means that Belle Vue pose no threat of winning anything again as they've got no backup.
  4. Without getting into 'he said, she said' I've heard that Cooper's two clubs for this season were agreed months and months ago. That's not to say that he couldn't have been persuaded by Ipswich at the 11th hour but he's had an affiliation with Lynn for many years and the fact that he's ended up a Star is little surprise.
  5. Would fit with a 5 pointer not many about with that av !
  6. What have you been eating or smoking Geoff 😝 did not push on as expected when he was riding,
  7. Do not think Kyle would be interested in a comeback , he has been for a skid now and again but I think thats it for him.
  8. I think Bickley is worth the risk on such a low average. He's 23 years old, would be coming in to a league that is considerably weaker than years gone by, and he'd be able to compete at reserve level.
  9. Correct....Rushden was not always a Lynn certainty, the decision by Louis to sell changed Rushden's mind from his preferred club, but he is now at Lynn and im sure he will do well there before he moves to Ipswich in the future.
  10. I was at one of those matches, I always feel Tom rides Sheffield fairly well, but feel he is better suited to Ipswich anyway.
  11. Around 2.22 based on an 8% average reduction for both year 2024 and 2025.
  12. Can't say I was - would rather have had Doyle and Emil but there you go, love Dan but couldnt see hoim at Foxhall ,myself when he has the NSS to ride each week. Must admit didn't see the Kildemend signing coming but he is good to watch so be interesting to see how he does. Not so convinced about Blordorn however he hasn't made the progress i would have wanted / expected of him if I was an Aces fan.
  13. They need to keep on going and stop all the incessant moaning. 😉
  14. He finished 2023 with 2.62 and didnt ride in 2024 or 2025. Now, I'm presuming he'll get his 2.5% reduction for 2024, plus the two lots of 8% for not riding in 2024 and 2025. That would put him at 2.16. If he didnt get the 2.5%, it would be 2.22
  15. Of course you want those 2 back … in the worlds elite and great to watch at the NSS and would have loved Dan at Ipswich … not so much Kurtz
  16. Of course I know that but sometimes you can replace a rider with one that might improve to get his average close to what the outgoing rider averaged ….. can’t see that at all with Kildemand And as mentioned a team that struggles away
  17. Please stop speaking for other teams fans, you drop into every thread telling fans what they should think. I am certain there isn't a single Aces fan who would want to drop one of Bewley or Kurtz. I said 2 years ago, id keep both for the next decade and build a team each year around them. Of course you wanted the Aces to drop Dan as you were absolutely desperate to have him at Ipswich.
  18. If the one extra league, ex Poland, comes in then it could mean a seismic change for UK Speedway.. The Danes, Swedes, Germans, French, et al, would, presumably, ride in their own leagues plus Poland, (and maybe get forced to as part of their licence?), with only those without a Polish contract opting to ride where the most money will be gained from the other leagues.. With the obvious added concern being they drop whatever nation like a stone if Poland come knocking during the season... Sweden and Denmark, plus the UK, will all be vying for those "mid level" riders, who make uo the majority of riders, therefore, doubling up, like so many of these riders do, could actually put the UK ahead of the other two "main leagues"?... They would certainly get more meetings... The worst case scenario of course is that all the European and Aussie riders riding in Poland give the UK a miss as either Sweden or Denmark have offered them more, and provide better logistics... Not a bad place for these riders to be in from a bargaining position next year I would suggest. Those running the sport in the UK really need to come to the party when it comes to their vision, strategy and ambition for the sport... Finally....
  19. hang on a minute, you do realise how team averages work dont you, even your not that stupid, or so i thought
  20. I’m not so sure, Ipswich is closer for him and he said he would love to ride for Ipswich in an interview.
  21. thats the million dollar question. they have plenty of time to sort a solution
  22. Does the 2 league rule apply in 2027 if you ride in Poland? If so how will UK compete if Sweden and Denmark attract the best riders,
  23. You mean we had to weaken our team, with a dropped team building average, wow i didn't expect that.
  24. Replacing Lidsey with Kildemand shows that the team is much weaker this season Absolute guaranteed entertainment but nothing to address the fact the team can’t ride away from home and ultimately that will be their downfall
  25. belle vue fans not shy to say what they think and ive seen far more positivity than not
