Oxford Spires vs Leicester Lions PLR2 25/09/25 19:30
szkocjasid replied to IainB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I agree league matches should be completed before the play-offs. But it would be daft to not allow a KOC fixture to be raced between 2 clubs who have finished their fixtures because others still have to finish theirs. -
Fingers crossed.🤞

Lambert shows his true colours in some of his gp interviews. A bloke who is a sore loser just like Woffinden can be also at times. As a neutral Bewley is the man. (Top Brit by far )
-
Dont think you can judge it yet.
-
Lambert. Not saying he’s not a good rider. Don’t like his nature as a person. Bewley is never phased and comes across as a true professional on and off the track.
-
What one?
-
He’s all self, can’t stand the bloke.
-
Don’t think it will happen next week as talks of unsettled weather coming in.
-
Poland has always been where the money is ,but getting them to hand it over has been a problem for a number of riders over the years.

Very weak round in my opinion. -
BSPA had changed fixture Sunday to K. O cup first leg as is on Poole website but now has reverted back to Play Off semi 2nd leg. So who is correct? Also changed to Cup on BSN now so probably its just the BSPA who dont know what they are doing!

Wonder why he’s pulled out considering he’s at the stadium. -
Really? I stand corrected in that case. My apologies. I’m led to believe Poland is where the money is and Workington’s financial troubles have been well documented this season, so I’m sure you can see where I put two and two together.
-
Poland haven't been paying lots of riders in ALL leagues, why do you assume it's worky's fault, I know some issues reared it's head mid season, but surely the promotion would be sqeekey clean after that

GP line-up for 2026

Generally speaking, the winner of SGP2 is way behind a regular GP1 rider. After winning GP2 series and GP after GP getting beat by top riders could demoralise the young lad and set him back. When Martin Vaculick came to GP1 he did well initially....but then didn't bother with GP1 fora few years to give himself time to mature as a rider. He came back into GP1, with more experience, came 2nd in GP1 just couple years ago. Sadly this year not performed too well, maybe he carrying an injury or something. Just after Fricke winning SGP2 came Drabik and Smektala, between them they won 3 GP2 on the trot. Neither of them yet in the GP1 series full time, Jaimon Lidsey the same. I think Jan Kvech was 2nd in GP2 just 3 or 4 years ago, he will come back in 2 or 3 years better then he is now, hes picked up the experience.... it was just too soon for him. -
Are the likes of Bewley, Kurtz, Fricke and Doyle based in the UK? What about Lambert?
-
Oh dear, so that rules him out of the...*checks notes* Premiership PO final. The guy has explicitly told everyone his season is over and they've responded by banning him for 28 days. Shambles.
-
Not with a clown like him they don’t.
-
Really poor from Bowes, if that’s the case. Then again and I’m playing Devil’s advocate here, but if he hasn’t been paid - as can easily be assumed from his statement - then perhaps a single inconvenience is all it took for the toys to leave the pram. Either way, it isn’t good for the sport.
