  1. Past hour
  2. Always going to be Lambo I suppose. I get it when we need a 4pt+ rider so lets hope he can find some form and prove an inspired pick? Looking at the fixtures I do think we are in for some testing times until the first green sheet averages. Redcar and then Poole at home look tough to me. Both have riders who go well at the EWR. So I think we are going to have to take the hit over the initial weeks. Away is a worry and Pickers is going to be busy. 6 rides min home and away but should be worth watching. Theres going to be changes for sure. I think Voulas will arrive at Scunny in May. Too good a Championship rider to be missing out and available as Comets are not using him. We wont be winning any silverware as it stands. I'm usually not one for making changes. But this team looks ripe for it from design and speedway being speedway enforced change as the season unfolds. We're going to find out thats a fact.
  3. Yesterday
  4. At the end of the day I hardly think people are not going to watch speedway because Nathan Ablitt has had an 8 percent reduction!! The sports struggling for a host of other reasons!!
  5. When clubs put information out on their websites and social media, they also have to send the press release to the BSPL Press Office. The BSPL Press Office then put it on the BSPL website and social media. If nothing about Buxton is on the BSPL website and social media, it will be because the Buxton Press Officer has sent nothing to the BSPL Press Office. (Since the BSPL have a link to the Buxton website, but the Buxton website is dead, that seems to confirm it is Buxton who are failing to get news out).
  6. Depends on what the exact rule says..Maybe the rule dosent include 3rd tier racing?
  7. Which is wrong, rules there for guys who are trying to get back into the sport not for Godfrey to make up as he goes so he can fit people into his team. People wonder why the sports dying when you’ve got people like him.
  8. Premier runs Monday & Thursday. Championship on other days. It’s how doubling up works
  9. Maybe for Lambo...he was went missing last season😄
  10. That’s what I was thinking,Godfrey has prob got Ablitt on a 8% reduction that’s the only thing that adds up lol
  11. Well must have been applied an 8 percent reduction for missing a season whether people like it or not
  12. Have to find the the riders though they are certainly not in GB,and will not be cheap .IMo.
  13. But they more often than not share posts from other clubs' pages when it comes to Facebook - but nothing for buxton? I genuinely think that whoever runs the page didn't "follow" Buxton when they created their new page and therefore don't see it to share it. A really poor show if you ask me. Imagine if Northampton happens and joins the premiership and the BSPA don't post a damn thing about it? It's basically the same thing.
  14. Phew. Thanks for clarification. Hate starting rumours
  15. He’s talking about his previous spell at Leicester, still in the line up for this season
  16. That maybe the way it has evolved but originally it was for doubling up... there is an old BSPA press release knocking about on the Internet saying as much. https://www.acu.org.uk/news/2017/11/british-speedway-announce-major-moves/#:~:text=Monday November 20%2C 2017 at,Association AGM over the weekend. Anyway, the question still stands, who has first dibs?
  17. What’s this about Dan Thompson sacked from Leicester in tommorows Speedway Star?
  18. Think Ablitt average is the real question. As it all doesn’t fit under 40 if you apply the correct discounts. So very unsure how this team has actually been made.
  19. But perhaps as I said spedeworth wanted surety of who the new tenants were to be before the lease renewal was agreed rather than renew with Chris and allow him sell the club to a nightmare mob that spedeworth had no desire to entertain as tenants but were stuck with due to contractual obligations they've just signed
  20. With all due respect, it wasn't. The reason the UK have fixed nights is to stop other countries racing on the same nights, same as Sweden, Denmark and Poland. Mon UK Tues Sweden Weds Denmark Thurs UK Fri, Sat & Sun. Poland
  21. What averages do Ablitt and Lambert come in on?
  22. Unfortunately can’t see this team doing much. Pickering to be a lone solider especially away from home. The lambert signing baffles me, didn’t just have a poor season last year, it was dreadful. Can say it was all because of his Low average to re sign but surely there was a young rider that we could invest time into. I think this team will even struggle to win at home. If picko has an off night then they definitely get beat.

  24. Who gets first dibs if there's a fixture clash with the "Young" Stars? ... in fact how many riders are doubling up/down between CL & NL? That's why fixed race nights were brought in for the PL to stop riders being double booked. It appears they may be repeating the mistakes of the past... who would have thunk it 🤔
  25. You rarely transfer a lease but tend to assign and the landlords would want to ensure that at the very least they are not in a less advantageous position and most landlords taking on new unknown tenants would seek security of payment in terms of the rental income. This could be by way of a cash deposit, bank guarantee or SBLC in order to ensure they are no worse off. We do not know when the lease was due to expire, nor do we know the potential new term or the rent increases during the term of the lease and whether it is full repairing etc.. Suffice to say it appears to be a factor which has caused a delay but is not insurmountable. The fundamental point is CL as a seller knew the status and could have anticipated a potential delay and if not his legal representatives would have be aware of the possibility so the press release is flawed and should be taken with a pinch of salt. No doubt all will be resolved and 2026 will hear the bikes roar at Foxhall. Just a shame the reputation has been called into question because of the failings of a few.
