  1. Past hour
  2. Lejonen will replace Woryna with a rider who is of similar capacity and who is also riding well in Poland.
  3. Link for DMPJ - note - you have to go to the very bottom screen! http://video.ucoz.lv/index/live_stream/0-5
  4. Agree, but that’s where self -interest kicks in everytime.

  6. I am at home in Wisewood no rain here. So we are around the same distance away from the track. I did say cautiously optimistic.
  7. I am in Neepsend right now S3 about to rain again I fear sun due out at 6pmish it says, i reckon its touch and go but they will probably try and get the meeting on.
  8. I don't know if I'm just being a bit dim, but three out of the four statements seem to all relate to more choice for race nights and the other re premiership riders eligibility to ride in the Championship. While I agree that greater choice of race nights would be very helpful. I'm thinking that the essential thing is for the BSPA to take a more organisational role, setting the conditions in which the Promoters operate. Key issues are how Fixtures are set, and the rules for Guesting.
  9. On to tonight's meeting. I think Ipswich will push us really hard, and I don't see us winning by more than 8 to 10 points. Ipswich are exceptional at home and we are generally poor around Foxhall so I think it safe to say that Ipswich will finish top of the league.
  10. At 3:30pm I am in Sheffield 6, same area as the stadium. At present the sun is out and pavements and roads are dry, no signs of any puddles, which generally a good sign. I am cautiously optimistic that we have a meeting to go to.
  11. Today
  12. I’m in Sheffield city centre. Bit of light drizzle and showers this morning. Massive thunderstorm at 1pm until about 2 and forecast is for it to continue to brighten up / diminishing chance of rain for the rest of the day (according to the BBC)
  13. The under 24 league in Poland from what I was told will now be mainly really young junior riders with little points money as the teams can’t afford to pay the money to riders riding in near empty stadiums in that league
  14. Been quiet a bit of rain and more forecast to come, although I believe they will make a big effort to get it on. What time do you need to set off.
  15. Just going to ask the same question, about 7 miles from the track and we have had one short heavy downpour and a mixture of light showers and sunshine but then i arrived at the track on Thursday with no idea it had even rained
  16. Sad to say but both fans and promoters alike appear to share a common opinion which is; "We know the running of speedway overall in the UK is not good enough and things need to change, which is ok so long as its not my track that has to change". Of course you may agree or disagree with the above, Try this simple "fun" test to see where you fit in short term Club (first) thinking v long term wellbeing of the sport by either "agreeing" or "disagreeing" with the following statements. 1. I would not oppose a change to the current race night for my clubs home meetings 2. I'm happy for fixed race nights to be limited to two per week in the UK for team fixtures 3. A rider with an average greater than five in the Premier league at the start of the season cannot ride for a championship club. 4. My club could hold weekly meetings on at least 5 different nights of the majority of weeks during the season. If you can agree to all five of the above statements then you and your club are definitely a part of the answer to speedway UK problems. The more statements you disagree with, the more you and your club will continue to be the cause of the problem.
  17. Well the BSN series and playoffs will be on BSN. I assume the KO cup final will also be on BSN because Poole tv said during the Glasgow KO cup meeting it would be their final stream of the season.
  18. Busy month the final round of the longtrack in Roden on Sunday 21st September and the U 23 Longtrack on Friday 12th September and the Longtrack of nations the following day on Saturday 13th September both in Vechta are all available to watch on PPV through Tapes up TV
  19. errr. Not at all. Plenty of commentary on the Prem thread regarding what's not right and frankly some well meaning suggestions regrding change and the way forward.
  20. lol the championship has been a shambles this year with so many important fixtures still left to race and riders being signed even though they are missing every other week eg bowes nagel knudsen gusts klindt whatever happens in the winter everyone needs to work together to solve british speedway problems
  21. Seems to me that setting the initial fixture list ought to be down to the BSPA. Fixtures to be set to give a maximum of two weeks between home fixture, but aiming for one a week especially during holiday periods etc. Team promoters would then have to work within that constrain, in determining which riders they sign bearing in mind their likely availability. Maybe leaving rescheduling postponed meeting is best left to team promoters. The Guesting procedure could also be more structured, by having say 2 (from different clubs) nominated guest riders named at the start of the season for each of the main team riders. Making guest preordained and part of the initial team selection process.
  22. The issue with five man teams is that it limits capacity for growth. i.e. it accommodates current riders and club but no facility for future riders over and above those created by natural wastage. A more strategic way forward would be to reduce the number of promotions providing "top flight" team racing via a Super League with other promotions running individual meetings with riders from the SL featured and development type team meetings accommodating riders (say) below 4 points from the SL alongside rising semi pro/amateur's. This approach would create opportunity for riders to develop and indeed expansion of the SL if and only when sufficient number and capability of riders and promoters become available.
