Common sense isn’t a rule, there should be a rule for such events but there isn’t so you implement the rule that is in place,what would ref of done if that was on next lap ? Lidsey was the only one that caused the stoppage, he was on the floor, the only reason it was stopped, fault or not

Lidsey only one not to blame for the stoppage IMO. Ref used common sense and would like it used more often.

So he interrupted a rule that doesn’t exist and made up a rule that he believes does exist and although fair on all the riders went against the rule book, only reason race was stopped was lidsey on floor therefor the cause of the stoppage, yes the rule book is at fault here but rules are rules

There isn’t a rule for first bend bunching, ref discretion, he claimed on the commentary that the issue started on the first bend and ended on the second bend therefore all four back.
