It should be the best riders in the world not the best rider from each country. Otherwise why not have an Argentinian competing or even a Ukrainian rider. The SGP is a lottery to appeal to the widest number of tracks willing to hold a round rather than a true championship involving the worlds best riders no matter what the nationality.

GP line-up for 2026
Gavan replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Doyle has to get a wildcard Crashed out mid GP when on 5 points … missed a Gp then rode injured in 2 GP … He would have finished above Michelsen possibly Fricke and maybe Lambert There simply is no argument to put anyone who finished below him back in Fricke and Doyle it has to be then maybe Michelsen -
Had his dislocated hip put back in last night

If they don't do a Cardiff with this, it could be the final nail in the coffin as far as WBD are concerned, which wouldn't be a bad thing in my opinion. -

Think this should get through your thick skull……quote…’ Redcar are at home on Sept 20 and 26 so undoubtedly wouldn't want another home meeting the following day, nor the 27th. Sept 30 may be embargoed due to SON in Poland ( Sept 30 to October 4) crazy but would also explain why Sunday October 5 is the first available date. ‘. ……unquote. -

What 'spasmodic' fixtures did Poole have as a result of Bournemouth playing football? They completed all their home league fixtures by the original August deadline -

Premiership is governed by the TNT deal but the Championship has made an absolute horlicks of their fixtures this year with none of the competitions anywhere near being concluded. No doubt due to riders being unavailable at various times due to foreign commitments, not to mention all the guests used for uninjured riders. Its been a complete mess and will probably only get worse before the end of October. A massive rethink needed for next year. -
I was thinking of more travelling fans who might be tempted to travel to an away track on a weekend race night. I know Ipswich get very good support and I use to go regularly and would normally go to Mildenhall because they ran on a Sunday. When it was a different set up in years gone by, it was Hackney on Friday, Rayleigh on Saturday and Eastbourne on a Sunday and the occasional trip to Canterbury and whenever Rayleigh were away from home at another weekend track I would normally go. It is all different now with fewer teams spread across the country making supporters think hard before bothering to travel to an away match. Stocks and bangers probably get more support for many reasons and it just does not compare from a business model perspective. Anyway each to their own.
