  1. Past hour
  2. There must be some deep pockets behind Buxton’s new venture
  3. When ever I go to a gig at an arena I always think could they put them in my speedway GP in here, I went to see Jim Jeffries a couple of months back at this venue and although it well situated I didn’t think it was big enough for a track and fans, hard to tell with the pictures from the arenacross, would you say it’s big enough ?
  4. Yeah, good point Mike. Also, its indoors in a decent arena.. Send all them punters to watch the same thing, with the same razamataz, at say, Armadale, Edinburgh, and see how keen theyll be
  5. Who collectively spend seven figures, a year on riders?
  6. Well I guess they could ask their own fans when the crowds have gone to a new low, as my own family are belle vue fans and are saying they have little interest in this farce. Question BV promotion should be asking is are they alone ???? And if they ain’t well where does the blame lie??
  7. Vuolas' average is way too high for what they've got left
  8. If he signs for the Witches I think he should come back on a 6
  9. From an historical point of view at the end of 1988 can anyone remember how long the takeover from Chris Shears to Dave Pavitt, Mike Western and JL took?
  10. I think there's a few Stox people involved that have money to burn
  11. Today
  12. If he chooses Lambert over Voulas he deserves a kick in the knads
  13. I imagine they have a bit more money to promote than the average speedway club
  14. When I went around seven years ago it was £70 for me and my then 15 year old lad... From the moment of entry where riders had their meet and greet merch stalls, and free event posters given away signed by many of them, to the "have your photo with the Monster girls" (He did, I didn't!),, to the pre racing build up, the actual racing itself (didn't have a clue who any of them were), and the entertainment between hests eg the T shirt guns getting fired, the text raffle for fhe bike, right through to the free giveaways as we left, more posters, stickers etc.. Worth every penny... And so much of it would have cost fhe organisers minimal outlay, yet the crowd left with great memories and something tangible to also remember it by... I got an email that night thanking me and my son for attending and asking for feedback, and 12 months later, an email with 10% off tickets but we were going away so couldn't go.. Proper Promotion by Proper Promoters...
  15. Ipswich are holding the sport to ransom and the bspl are letting them, well fine but when the crowds are gone don’t go blaming anyone else, it’s a farce and in part it’s caused by Chris Louis and Ipswich, this should of been sorted months ago not weeks away from the season
  16. Anyway whats the latest in regards with Speedway No Futures? Not heard anything about Redknapp or that Tory Grandee for a while
  17. I have simply outlined the challenges, complexities and timescales as they relate to the sale and purchase of a business. You can ignore those realities if you so choose. I assume from your comments that Louis should have been prohibited from selling his own business and must continue to own it ad infinitum - bizarre on a number of levels. I have made no reference to the BSPL or Speedway Futures, so not sure how I am giving them a free pass.
  18. ...but he is a fairly good DJ....!!😁
  19. He rode most of last season.Did not show any great improvement.IMO
  20. That right you keep giving the powers that be a pass and nothing changes, Ipswich have done damage to premiership in the eyes of the public this season, they with the bspl and speedway futures have made a terrible situation absolutely dire and it’s unacceptable
  21. When I saw that name Viv Muddle I honestly thought posters were taking the p-ss and he was a made up rider.
  22. How much to get in out of interest?
  23. Antti would be decent around Scunny Borke was shaping up as a promising youngster but that bad crash in 2024 really knocked him back any idea if he is fully fit now physically and mentally ?
  24. At this stage we don't know which company Mr Coleman will use although the events company was recently founded. We also don't know how these companies will be capitalised although lenders will want cross guarantees and covenants in place or a PG with Mr C. This doesn't make the business flush with cash but will be in a great position if it performs financially. If he is the new owner he is to be applauded for taking the risks. Don't get carried away with "loads a money" it's about the business end of matters.
  25. Hence the rumours around Woffy I guess he's possibly Englands greatest ever rider but personally I think his days at the very top are over plus he's coming back from horrific injuries, I don't like how he drops f bombs every thirty seconds when kids are potentially within earshot but on the flipside his courage and mental strength are something to be admired. Equally can't blame him for taking the wild card I just hope he stays safe and injury free for the coming year he's overdue a run without his body taking more knocks.
