  1. Past hour
  2. Not controversial, but I think the logistics are slightly different with Doyle being in the GPs and if you can believe all that is written about the SPG, riders need to fund the riding themselves because the pay out is pretty meagre. When you consider the cost of travel, accommodation, mechanics etc. which the riders have to cover they are not in it for the money. Both riders need sponsors but Doyle’s income needs are likely to be greater than Tom and therefore needs to get some good sponsors onboard asap to be able to ensure the income is in place to meet the outgoings and still leave some take home pay but is conscious of the fact that to get the sponsors to promote on meetings covered by TV he needs to be sure of where the money is coming from. Selling himself and the sport to sponsors cannot be easy and at a lower level, the same applies to Tom. In summary I don’t blame him for getting his house in order as soon as possible and if that means being assured a team place elsewhere, so be it.
  3. The main and Micky mouse FIM meetings are the big problem for weekend championship fixtures, take my team worky, both Tate and the new young Dane will be in official GP 2 qualifications and various U19 and U24 meetings, pairs and fours, seemed last year was a FIM or European meeting most weekends in June July and August
  4. They’re just kicking the can down the road. Same old same old. It can’t go on .
  5. Is that to see that they have enough clashes with FIM meetings, and domestic individual meetings like the U21 Championship, to smash out of the park that 196 guest total from last year?
  6. Busy atm but years a start Mark Parker owen booth Liam greens
  7. Today
  8. I think the important thing to note is that with all the delays and speculation that the damage to the brand could be irreparable. It could be that you a small oil leak 3 years ago but now your engine has seized as you spoke about the repair but done naff all about it! ( I'm talking speedway in general and not just Ipswich).
  9. Just how can the NL ( it can no longer be classed as a ‘D’ league, surely ?) arrange fixtures? when most of the clubs hosting them are in the other leagues and so have to wait till those fixtures are sorted !
  10. I thought (or hoped) I was reading too much much in to the wording of the Official club post on the update coming next week! Didn’t come across as any confirmation coming so perhaps it’s not the update we were all hoping for…
  11. https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/16629633 Northamptonshire 🤔 Could Mayfield also be behind getting Northampton up and running as well as Ipswich?
  12. Due to the extreme winter weather this year Workington have had to postpone several planned track days, probably same for other places, hopefully the weather improves and tracks can run a few extra track/training days to make up for missing out
  13. Maybe a controversial topic..... What are fans views on Jason Doyle bailing out very early while Tom Brennan has stuck around especially if Ipswich run without a No.1 this season?
  14. IF Northampton is the magic 6th team, can anyone say if a different planning application by the council is needed ? Or will the stock car planning permission cover all Motorsports ? Does the stadium have unlimited evening consent? IF no to this could be a no go as council planning decisions take ages.
  15. Different readers for different leagues but same problem 🤪
  16. Add to that how does the average motorbike mad kid know where and when these sessions take place? By contrast they can buy a Trials or MX bike and race or practice every weekend without driving more than an hour from home. In my opinion if you want more Speedway riders the clubs have to associate with Grasstrack clubs and find some fields for kids to go practicing in. Probably a biased view as I'm from the south and all the practice tracks are a long way away but I can't see anybody from my area getting their kids into Grasstrack or Speedway as things are currently.
  17. It won’t be Monday. Tuesday there will be an update of sorts.
  18. Klindt has a liking for the NSS, AFA and Leicester as well as having proven pedigree around Foxhall. That's a no brainer signing imo especially when only 3 Teams will reach the play-offs where everything will likely come down to Away Form and Bonus Points imo.
