  1. Past hour
  2. I Think with all the tracks running really slick this years he is struggling to pass which was always his way off winning as he is not the best off gaters

  4. In the 90's we were trying to get engines to rev over 10,000rpm. There were still crashes then but not as many serious ones that we are experiencing now. Todays engine can achieve 18000RPM but is restricted to 13500RPM. I'd have to ask the question why would an engine tuner build a motor that cannot be used to its full potential. For me the bore size should be limited which would mean a longer stroke to get to 500cc & in turn this would reduce the RPM to a usable level. The short stroke engine has not made the sport any faster as the list of track records will support only a fraction of a second each time it is reset in most cases & less than a second over a 25 year spread. The short stroke motor has made the sport more about who can hold on the longest & who is prepared to take the biggest risk rather than the best control & skill set
  5. I see that Sir Keir Starmer has written to TNT Sports asking why the Champions League final is not being shown free to air... you're in esteemed company 😉
  6. I see that Sir Keir Starmer has written to TNT Sports asking why the Champions League final is not being shown free to air... you're in good (depending on your political persuasion) company 😉
  7. Today
  8. Pedersen has done fine in my opinion, got 7 from 4 rides last night at an away track, he isn't a Nagel but he has done ok. Mario should be better but his problem maybe mechanical and his equipment when riding for his country is obviously a lot better.
  9. Think bangs needs to be given time to find form. They could be viewing him as a longer term project
  10. Most of Mario’s problems this year haven’t been equipment related its the fact he can only ride the track when it’s slick (would have been ok at Scunthorpe last night as that was ridiculously slick). When he’s visiting every track for the first time he’s going to be always behind the 8 ball to start with. If he takes on advise from the experienced riders in Bomber, Kyle and Leon every meeting be that home or away he could start getting into the points on a regular basis at reserve. Was good to see Sam mixing it last night especially as used the inside to get past a few Scorpions rather than his customary outside line only approach. I can’t work out the rolling averages as never know the score that’s getting replaced by the current meeting but it must be getting very close for Bomber to lose his number 1 race position
  11. Yes agree but he is doing it in both leagues so personally I think he isnt doing it on purpose, maybe mechanical.
  12. Hope it’s zmarzlik or woryna, can’t see either but I think they are the only 2 who could replace bewley
  13. No... and Robbo still "doesn't really know anything about it" 😂
  14. I don't understand it, everyone knew Picko's average was going to drop 2 points, he should have been sounding riders out last winter, he could have chanced a kid from Europe on 7 point average. The Ironic thing is David Howe was in speedway star the other week saying that if all the team were to perform to their average they will be fine but they are all perfoming to their average, its just he and Godfrey has built a team 2points below the limit.
  15. The main let down for this team has been Harris so far without a doubt. Pedersen probably hasnt lived up to the hype as much as people hoped and Hausl has been poor but they both came in on 5 point averages. The days of signing a Bjerre, a Bjarne, a Zagar, an Iversen etc to come in as unknown foreigners and average 9 in their first season are long gone sadly.
  16. Cynics (not necessarily me) will probably say that, whist Glasgow are still winning, he can afford to, and by doing so, keeping his average down for 2027.
  17. Always interesting to see Bet 365 odds in their more, exact and less market- 20 heats only and actual race points. These are the expected exact scores. Zmarzlik 12 Kurtz 10 Jack Holder 10 MJJ 10 Lambert 10 Lebedevs 8 Woryna 8 Dudek 8 Doyle 7 Thomsen 7 Fricke 6 Madsen 5 Parnitskyi 5 Kvech 5 Bednar 4 Kubera 4
  18. Im sure mark to his cheque book out to Prague with him this weekend. All not lost just yet
  19. Apologies with the Bewley injury I've lost interest for the season! Dull but Zmarzlik £200 more.
  20. On a day of what could of been the boys are rightly proud of there performance. The general thoughts were the d4aw did for us getting gates 2 and 4 on four occasions when 4 was a grave yard. A point here or there could of tipped the balance but most teams could say that. On to the next one with more experience gained
  21. This is why I suggest limiting the revs to 10,000 but don’t do it by means of a rev limiter, make it so as the engine itself will not reach 10,000 revs and chuck more dirt on the track, it will encourage more torque mid range engines and do away with pinned throttle racing which in itself is fine but when it goes wrong is catastrophic
  22. Who knows in the mysterious world of speedway
  23. I haven’t listened to it since Godfrey was on, has he sorted the sound issues out ?
  24. Picko needs back-up... Criminal that we haven't used the points available to strengthen.
  25. Seems like a good effort from GB. Unlucky to miss out on a medal when the bookies had them finishing last. Cairns received some odd criticism when he was selected for the World Cup side, nice to see him finding strong form since then.
