3. Alan Mogridge

4. Bo Petersen

5. Andy Galvin

6. Paul Hurry

7. Colin White

This team won the treble that season.

The only other side that comes close was the Hackney 1988 Double winning team.

There's no doubt that was the best ever Division Two team, but Division One has produced many, many teams to better them.

2. Troy Pratt

He was a little smoothie all those years ago riding around Rye House with his friends in the second halves. Immaculately turned out every time.

Sheffield 1999 or 2002 would better Arena's Second Div sides

1.) Wilson 1.) Wilson

2.) Complin 2.) Lee

3.) Scud 3.) Compton

4.) Moore 4.) Steady

5.) Steady 5.) Scud

6.) Ashworth 6.) Allott

7.) Birkinshaw 7.) Cartwright

Any mid 90s Bradford side for top league best's!

I can't remember what year it was, late Sixties I

think, but Long Eaton of all teams put out 7 riders

for the whole season and won the league.

Has anyone the averages?

Are you sure about that?

I thought Leicester held the record of using the same seven riders for the whole season and it still stands to this day.

The year was 1969 and the riders were Ray Wilson, (10.fortyeight) John Boulger, (8.75) John Hart, (6.44) Norman Storer, (6.43) Graham Plant, (6.35) Malc. Brown (5.14) and Dewayne Keeter (4.87).

Didn't win the league though - they came fifth.

Sorry about Ray Wilson's - for some reason if I type the figure it puts in a smilie face

for the 8. :?

Gemini, your dead right on that Lions team, an incredible thing to happen and I`m certain it will never be equaled, as for Willy boy I`m amazed how little his name is mentioned on this forum (apart from me :) ) he was a truly great rider !
