Vincent Vega 135 Posted April 25, 2003 The best ever 1-7 in speedway has to be the Arena 1991 side. 1. Brian Karger 2. Troy Pratt 3. Alan Mogridge 4. Bo Petersen 5. Andy Galvin 6. Paul Hurry 7. Colin White This team won the treble that season. The only other side that comes close was the Hackney 1988 Double winning team.

There's no doubt that was the best ever Division Two team, but Division One has produced many, many teams to better them.

jackofdiamonds 53 Posted May 1, 2003 I can't remember what year it was, late Sixties I think, but Long Eaton of all teams put out 7 riders for the whole season and won the league. Has anyone the averages?
Gemini 4,894 Posted May 1, 2003 I can't remember what year it was, late Sixties I think, but Long Eaton of all teams put out 7 riders for the whole season and won the league. Are you sure about that? I thought Leicester held the record of using the same seven riders for the whole season and it still stands to this day. The year was 1969 and the riders were Ray Wilson, (10.fortyeight) John Boulger, (8.75) John Hart, (6.44) Norman Storer, (6.43) Graham Plant, (6.35) Malc. Brown (5.14) and Dewayne Keeter (4.87). Didn't win the league though - they came fifth. Sorry about Ray Wilson's - for some reason if I type the figure it puts in a smilie face for the 8. :?
