Berwick Anniversary Meeting

Recommended Posts

All's fine in Berwick at 1.30pm. Meeting still full steam ahead.

Lynx (or anyone else from the Berwick area who may pick this up) - would you be kind enough to post again the position at 3.30 (ish) as that's around when I'll need to leave to travel down?

Well that was one of the best meetings i've seen to date at berwick some decent racing, holder was in superb form in the heats unfortunately he couldnt carry this on inot the final, doolan was good in the heats and was a deserved winner, out of the new riders, smith, wortmann and kus,i think one word sums them up,mental!,what happened with kus and watto and that heat(sorry can't remember which one),smith was a box of tricks,a looped start and tapes infringement and a pass from the back on the home man,he'd be a good PL rider IMO.All in all a good well run meetingand a credit to berwick :D

Wow teams confirmed

Track very dry, but its raining

Heat 02: Burza gave up on last lap, and did a practice start into the pits, Rempala gave on bend 3 lap 4 and toddled over for a point.

Doolan won by a mile.

Raining heavy now, and tractors have taken to the track.

Heat 03: Smith looped at the start and that was end of his race. Holder won by a mile and nearly crashed on last bend.

Heat 04: Absolute ridiculous decision made by ref Christina Turnball, Watson was on inside Kus on outside, Watson hit fence on bend 1, Kus cut to inside and Wato hit him onto the grass, and ref says ALL 4 BACK

Re-run: Makovsky passed Kus on bend 3 and 4 on lap 1.

Heat 05: Moore had engine Failure while 3rd on lap 3.

Heat 06: Burza would struggle to beat Katajisto judgeing by tonights performance, Holder is worth entrance money alone.

Heat 07: Ref is bloody useless, Rempala won the race by a good 2 feet, but blind Christina awarded it to Watson. Watson was on outside and Rempala inside at run to tapes. Smith hit tapes and went off 15 metres.

Heat 08: Holder won with fastest time of the season, Kus was 2nd coming out of bend 2, Makovsky went round outside and Casper then took him on bend 3 lap 2.

Andrew Moore has withdrawn as he only bought 1 bike and he knackered that up.

Apparantly Watson did win Heat 07, but the texter didnt really see it that way.

Heat 09: Excellent ride from Doolan to ride round Franc.

They had a junior race earlier which took about 4hrs. And now Rob Hollingworth is gonna race Rob Grant, fortunately for Hollingworth is he is on the inside, so Grant can't fence him.

If anyone was interested Grant won.

Heat 10: Watson went all funny on bend 1 and never recovered, Andrew Moore was missing rider in that heat. Kus used Francs bike and looked really good, and came round for a lap of honor after, to thank the fans.

Heat 11: Smith passed Rempala bend 3 and 4 last lap. and then did a deserved lap of honor complete with doughnuts.

Doolan and Holder advance straight to final.

Watson, Franc, Makovsky and Rempala make up Semi

So the Grand final will be Chris Holder, Kevin Doolan, Craig Watson and Michal Makovsky.

Junior races first tho before final.

Many thanks to Molotov and his Comrade Starling who stand against the facists lmao.

And night all

Congrats to Kev Doolan

I thought it was torture, to be honest. How to make 14 races of speedway stretch to almost two hours.

Holder was superb, but picked the wrong gate in the final. Burza was worse than pathetic - easily the worst rider on show. I mean Katajisto is 16-years-old and making his first visit to an intimidating race track. What's Burza's excuse?

Smith, Wortmann and Kus all had their moments - I thought Kus looked very handy on Franc's bike in his last outing.

Crazysue.....Have a bit of respect for God sake, your comments regarding Rob Grant were totaly uncalled for........bang out of order! Rob was one of the most popular riders to don the Bandits colours. No need for your sarcastic comments.
